Donner DST-152 is a versatile guitar that overall sounds really good for the price. It offers easy and smooth playability and comes with all the accessories you need to get started. I needed to change the strings because the factory set (9-42) was really cheap and the guitar didn’t stay in tune. Thanks to the correct relief from factory, I was able to get great low-string action. Donner DST-152 electric guitar uses vintage-style tuning machine and tuning pegs, which can provide ideal sound and maximum tuning stability.

Tuners look beautiful, but are a bit below the average when compare to other guitars from this price range. They are not terrible and applying graphite to nut helps a little bit, so the tuning instability was partially the fault of the nut. But still, fine-tuning and overall tuning stability is not the best, but definitely not terrible either. First, the volume knob affects your sound only from 5-10. It turns to silent when you reach 4, so it doesn’t give that good control over the volume. For me, this doesn’t really matter since I mostly adjust the tone knobs and only sometimes turn the volume to around 8 instead of 10.I rate this guitar 4.5 out of 5 for its sound and feel with the offered price. It is a great instrument with a very good value-for-price ratio. Additionally, being a 39” full scale model, it’s definitely geared more towards older kids and adults.
