In a more meta example Balent has written/drawn fans and colleagues into the series, most noticeably in issue #47 where he draws a staggering 44 fans as witches fighting alongside Tarot.

Porn Without Plot: Sex and near-naked women were common in the earlier issues, but it could still have a plot independent of them (relatively). Over the course of the series, it's been adding more and more explicit nudity and sex, to the point where removing them would result in entire issues being cut. A lot of guys i know would LOVE to have a threesome (or more) with girls but to be honest, they admit they like the fantasy better than a chance at reality with a girl that they love being involved. Most state to being intimidated that their girlfreinds/wifes/ect. might prefer the other girl(s) and what they would lose in the process and what they would gain (if anything). I am sure threesomes are possible with the right people, but i just don't see Jon (at the moment at this stage of development) being real comfortable with it in the long run. After issue #25, it occurred to me that Tarot's 'craft' could lead to problems with her relatonship with Jon. Comic-Book Time: Averted. Time passes normally between issues and arcs. Brandi, while still alive, was the girlfriend of Jon Webb but when she died in a car accident she became a spirit that can now communicate with her former boyfriend and is now jealous of his new girl.There is one thing i am curious to is how Jon's religion or personal belief would affect all this. I know he wasn't raised wiccan but nothing more is ever touched on where he came from or where he is going on his own spiritual path especially after "living" in Tarot's world for awhile. You know his mind has been broaden, but his character is pretty much being kept as the boyfreind who can see ghosts, works as a cemetary worker and is Tarot's lover and is a big comic geek (aren't we all ? As i stated in other posts, i would love to see his character in a one-shot or mini explaining some of his past. Raven though seems to be unworried by her sister's arrival and instead reveals she's been expecting Tarot, and she continues to play the innocent one. Tarot, still infuriated, begins to yell at her sister about how Raven will only be ruining witchkind, not helping it, that the Goddess' power cannot be used in such a way. Raven remains uncaring for her sister's cries and tells her that one day she will thank Raven for what she is doing, ushering in a new age of witchery. I think maybe Jim is working up to an affair between Tarot and Boo, and Jon is going to have a hard time dealing with it. The Graveyard Guardian is now angered and saddened at his own failure and pulls off his face mask. He shouts in his rage as he sums up the events of the night but Tarot tells him to cool down.

Raven begins to speak, almost as if entranced, of a witch utopia she will create, a place where all the negative things of the world will be a thing of the past and they shall all bask in the warmth of The Goddess.
