Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets help give reliefof symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile and pepsin into the oesophagus. Acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion occursdue to the reflux of stomach contents in the oesophagus. This product is considered high in sodium. This should be particularly taken into account for those on a low salt diet (e.g. in some cases of congestive heart failure and renal impairment).

For babies weighing more than 4.5 kg (10 lb), mix the right amount of powder into at least 225 mL of formula feed. Are taking diuretics (water tablets) for high blood pressure as the salt content can affect the above diseases and effect of diuretics. If you have been advised to follow a diet restricted in any of these salts please consult your doctor before taking this product. You can take this product if you are pregnant or breast- feeding. As with all medicines, the treatment duration should be limited as much as possible. Only give this medicine to your child. Never give it to anyone else, even if their condition appears to be the same, as this could do harm.This medicinal product contains aspartame (E951), a source of phenylalanine. May be harmful for people with phenylketonuria. For breast-fed babies, mix the right amount of powder with 5 mL of cooled boiled water to make a smooth paste, then mix in another 10 mL of water. Give this to your baby after the feed, using a syringe or spoon. Open the sachet just before use. Your doctor will tell you how much of the powder to use; this will also be shown on the medicine label. You'll usually take Gaviscon tablets and liquid up to 4 times a day. If you usually take Gaviscon regularly but forget to take a dose, do not double your dose the next time. Just leave out the missed dose and take your next dose as normal. It's safe to take paracetamol at the same time as Gaviscon. But do not take other painkillers, like ibuprofen or aspirin, with Gaviscon without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first.
