The November release month will be no surprise to Paddington fans as the first two movies were released in November 2014 and November 2017. Paddington, the brown bear from darkest Peru, is found by the Brown family on Paddington Station with his hat, duffel coat and marmalade sandwiches. Sally Hawkins is also sadly stepping down from her role as Mrs Brown, with Emily Mortimer taking her place.

With a blend of humour, theatricality and clear prose style, each chapter forms a stand-alone story, perfect for newly confident readers. First published in 1958, this is a truly British classic. Rachel Zegler was set to take on the role of Gina Cabot, but due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, she is unable to work and has been replaced by newcomer Carla Tous. The franchise of Paddington Bear is owned by StudioCanal, but the publishing rights of the book series were owned by Michael Bond until his death in 2017. He had licensed the publishing rights to HarperCollins for a period of 6 years starting from 2017. The thought of creating this character came to Bond’s mind when he saw a lonely teddy bear on a London store’s shelf near the Paddington Station during the Christmas Eve of 1956. He bought the bear and presented it as a gift to his wife. Later, Bond was inspired to write a story based on the bear and he ended up writing the first novel in only 10 days. When Bond’s agent, Harvey Unna, came to know about the book, he immediately sent it to William Collins and Sons for publishing in 1958. Thus, began the hugely popular Paddington Bear stories. The first stuffed toy based on Paddington Bear was created by Gabrielle Designs in 1972. The owners, Eddie and Shirley Clarkson, first made the prototype as a Christmas gift for their kids Jeremy and Joanna Clarkson. Shirley later wrote a book describing the evolution of the Paddington toy from Christmas present to litigation subject to ultimate commercial success.

He began writing in 1945 and sold his first short story to a magazine called London Opinion. This experience helped him decide that he wanted to be a writer.
