About this deal

Brahmanas, elders, women, children and cows are said to deserve special protection, with animals, especially cows, being preserved from slaughter at all costs. Prabhupada encouraged readers to adopt a lacto-vegetarian diet and gives agriculture as the ideal economic basis of society. Prabhupada concluded that the society should be "Krishna conscious"—enlightened by devotion ( bhakti) to Krishna ( God).

ISKCON published a new version of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s book, Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers in 1993. It is a transcript of a conversation which took place in Mayapur, West Bengal, in 1972 with a Peace-Corps worker, Bob Cohen. The Bhagavad-Gītā As It Is is a translation and commentary of the Bhagavad Gita by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), commonly known as the Hare Krishna movement. This translation of Bhagavad Gita emphasizes a path of devotion toward the personal God, Krishna. It was first published in 1968 in English by Macmillan Publishers, and is now available in nearly sixty languages. [1] [2] It is primarily promoted and distributed by followers of ISKCON.

Devotee: “Definitive English edition of Bhagavad-gītā. By bringing us a new and living interpretation of the text already known to many, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda has increased our own understanding manyfold.”

Many devotees don’t even know, there is such a thing a BBTI, because it seems the BBTIaren’t toout spokenabout it. You still see BBT on the books and other publications, and BBTI can be difficult or impossible to find. What’s worse is, that BBTI is largely changing SrilaPrabhupadasbooks, without ever having been given any authorization from Srila Prabhupada. BBT still hold thecopy rightsto Srila Prabhupada’s original books, even though BBTI tried to infringe them, butquesswho own the copyrigthsfor the changed books - right BBTI. And the funds you might ask are they going to BBT? Are they used as Srila Prabhupada wanted it 50% for constructing temples and 50% printing book? No! Thefoundsare all funneled to anotherorganisationcalled Gita row snowballs, India raises issue at 'highest levels' ". The Economic Times. 20 December 2011. Archived from the original on 12 July 2012 . Retrieved 20 December 2011. If you prefer having a physical book in your hands, most of these books are available from our store in hard copy. Classic Texts In answer to your questions, I don’t have any original tape recording of any kind of Srila Prabhupada authorizing the editorial changes in the Gita. And despite scouring the GBC resolutions from 1979-83, I found no reference to the Bhagavad-gita whatsover. It seems the assignment of Jayadvaita Swami to perform that task was unpublished–at least I couldn’t find it in the GBC resolutions made widely available.

In a conversation with Govinda dasi in 2003 (see Appendix A), H.H. Jayadvaita Swami repeatedly denied that Srila Prabhupada saw the galley proofs for his 1972 MacMillan edition of Bhagavad-Gita , indicating there were mistakes Prabhupada would not have allowed, implying this is why the book needed re-editing. Actually this sort of “preaching” that Praveen is doing is nice, in a sense, but actually more-or-less useless. It is actually quite obvious that there was a very advanced ancient Vedic civilisation but the scientists, the Western world, etc, they will not accept it. They think they are the most advanced civilisation that ever existed and the ancient Vedic culture was primitive cave dwelling monkey-like creatures… Of course that is impossible. They built so many wonderful structures, produced the Vedas which are the supreme literary works not matched by anything else in existence, even today. The original edition was more or less a transcript of the original conversation. It was edited, of course, to make the English clear and correct and to make it readable. But basically it remained a transcript of the original conversation. Srila Prabhupada’s original ISKCON Press 1970 KRSNA Book. KRSNA, the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the story of Krishna’s life. It starts with His birth in the prison house of King Kamsa and follows the adventures of Krishna throughout His life including His escape from being killed by cruel King Kamsa, His childhood in Vrindavan and His loving pastimes with all the residents of Vrindavan including His parents, His cowherd boyfriends, His gopi girlfriends and all the other residents of Vrindavan including even the animals. In June 2011, a group linked to the Russian Orthodox Church had demanded a ban owing to an alleged "conflict of interests" between the Russian followers of Krishna and local authorities in the Siberian region of Tomsk. The case was dismissed by a federal judge on 28 December 2011. [5]

Please read these changes completely as they give a very good insight into the types of things ISKCON and the BBT are deleting from Srila Prabhupada’s books. They have their own agenda and they want to change the philosophy that is presented in Srila Prabhupada’s books and by carefully studying the changes they are making you can gradually understand their demoniac agenda…. Provides a valuable meditative tool that allows the lessons of these stories to illuminate from within Of course Krishna is famous as ‘Govinda’, the friend of the cows. It seems to us to be very strange that when God comes to this earth He chooses to appear as a cowherd boy in the small village of Vrindvan in India. KRSNA Book is a very interesting book full of action and adventure so it is a great pleasure to read. And because the subject matter is the glorification and description of the pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead reading KRSNA Book is very beneficial and has a purifying effect on the consciousness. Not an original Prabhupada Book. It is translated by the insane Satsvarupa except for a few verses translated by Srila Prabhupada. Draws from the Bhagavad Purana, the Bhagavad Gita, the Mahabharata, and India’s sacred oral traditionThe book advocates the path of bhakti toward Krishna, who is seen as the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself. It establishes that Krishna is not an incarnation, but the cause of all causes and source of all incarnations. He is even the cause of Vishnu. [3] It teaches the loving service of the transcendental personality of the Lord. The online Vedabase allows for more thorough study. This option is recommended if you are interested in the study of Sanskrit. With the Vedabase you can see how one Sankrit word is used throughout all of Srila Prabhupada’s books. These days it might be more likely that the demons are visiting… And demons also, they have great technology and mystic powers. So they also, generally, will not be visible to us.
