The Original 1990 release has a slide advertising The Hero Next Door, Lost Cat, Sam's Day Off and Snow Business. Station Officer Steele is appearing on TV to give advise on Fire Safety but when Bella's TV is on fire, no one is able to watch as Sam and Elvis attend the fire. The New Adventures of Fireman Sam: Disaster For Dinner and a 'William's Wish Wellingtons' video are advertised at the beginning of the tape. In the audience when the premiere starts, Derek is in his Norman costume (minus the wig), but a few seconds later, he's in his normal outfit. In Wales, this series has 16 episodes, with the series being aired in two-halves with 8 episodes each (i:e Series 1 is Series 1a, and Series 2 is Series 1b).

This is the latest Fireman Sam special to have a US dub, as the US dub of the series has been possibly discontinued as of Series 12. However, only 6 of these episodes where originally broadcast as part of the first series in English, with the last 2 episodes being broadcast later on in 1988 (although, they where included on VHS before airing on TV). At one point Sarah mistakenly refers to her Uncle Sam as "Fireman Sam", though she did correct herself later on.Jupiter's trailer comes loose on a cobbled street, but when it goes into the garage, the road is made of tarmac.
