About this deal

Hemoglobin is a protein that delivers oxygen to your cells. When you have low hemoglobin, your cells don’t get enough oxygen. As a result, you may develop anemia and feel weak or tired. Ahmad I, Mirza T, Qadeer K, Nazim U, Vaid FH (September 2013). "Vitamin B6: deficiency diseases and methods of analysis". Pak J Pharm Sci. 26 (5): 1057–69. PMID 24035968.

According to a prospective cohort study the long-term use of vitamin B 6 from individual supplement sources at greater than 20mg per day, which is more than ten times the adult male RDA of 1.7mg/day, was associated with an increased risk for lung cancer among men. Smoking further elevated this risk. [59] However, a more recent review of this study suggested that a causal relationship between supplemental vitamin B 6 and an increased lung cancer risk cannot be confirmed yet. [60]

This is likely due to the role of B6 in decreasing elevated homocysteine levels associated with several disease processes, including heart disease ( 31, 32, 33). Lheureux P, Penaloza A, Gris M (April 2005). "Pyridoxine in clinical toxicology: a review". Eur J Emerg Med. 12 (2): 78–85. doi: 10.1097/00063110-200504000-00007. PMID 15756083. S2CID 39197646.

Magne B6 drug reduces the effect of tetracycline antibiotics and some other drugs such as Fluoroquinolones (Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, Ofloxacin...), trientin... In case of need to be used together, the drugs should be taken separately. at least 3 hours apart. Avoid combining Magne B6 with drugs containing phosphates and calcium salts because these substances inhibit the absorption of magnesium in the small intestine. Do not take Magne B6 with Levodopa because vitamin B6 will reduce the effect of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson's. However, if levodopa-carbidopa is used, this interaction does not occur. Magnesium crosses the placenta and the concentration of the drug in the placenta is equivalent to that in the blood. To date, there have not been many studies on the adverse effects of magnesium on the fetus. However, magnesium should only be used in pregnant women when clearly needed. Bacteria residing in the large intestine are known to synthesize B-vitamins, including B 6, but the amounts are not sufficient to meet host requirements, in part because the vitamins are competitively taken up by non-synthesizing bacteria. [28]Observational studies suggested an inverse correlation between a higher intake of vitamin B 6 and all cancers, with the strongest evidence for gastrointestinal cancers. However, evidence from a review of randomized clinical trials did not support a protective effect. The authors noted that high B 6 intake may be an indicator of higher consumption of other dietary protective micronutrients. [55] A review and two observational trials reporting lung cancer risk reported that serum vitamin B 6 was lower in people with lung cancer compared to people without lung cancer, but did not incorporate any intervention or prevention trials. [56] [57] [58] The assessment of vitamin B 6 status is essential, as the clinical signs and symptoms in less severe cases are not specific. [39] The three biochemical tests most widely used are plasma PLP concentrations, the activation coefficient for the erythrocyte enzyme aspartate aminotransferase, and the urinary excretion of vitamin B 6 degradation products, specifically urinary PA. Of these, plasma PLP is probably the best single measure, because it reflects tissue stores. Plasma PLP of less than 10nmol/L is indicative of vitamin B 6 deficiency. [38] A PLP concentration greater than 20nmol/L has been chosen as a level of adequacy for establishing Estimated Average Requirements and Recommended Daily Allowances in the USA. [4] Urinary PA is also an indicator of vitamin B 6 deficiency; levels of less than 3.0mmol/day is suggestive of vitamin B 6 deficiency. [38] Other methods of measurement, including UV spectrometric, spectrofluorimetric, mass spectrometric, thin-layer and high-performance liquid chromatographic, electrophoretic, electrochemical, and enzymatic, have been developed. Another study found that taking 75 mg of vitamin B6 daily during pregnancy decreased symptoms of anemia in 56 pregnant women who were unresponsive to treatment with iron ( 20). Some drugs when used together with Magne B6 can affect the therapeutic effect of the drug or vice versa. A review of 12 studies found that both adequate dietary intake and blood levels of B6 were associated with lower risks of colorectal cancer. Individuals with the highest blood levels of B6 had an almost 50% lower risk of developing this type of cancer ( 36).

Researchers suspect that B6 helps with emotional symptoms related to PMS due to its role in creating neurotransmitters that regulate mood. Vitamin B6 may play a role in preventing eye diseases, especially a type of vision loss that affects older adults called age-related macular degeneration (AMD). a b c Bachmann T, Rychlik M (August 2018). A seven-year study in over 5,400 female health professionals found that taking a daily supplement of vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid (B9) significantly reduced AMD risk by 35–40%, compared to a placebo ( 43).

A 30-day study in 36 adults with rheumatoid arthritis found that 50 mg of vitamin B6 daily corrected low blood levels of B6 but did not decrease the production of inflammatory molecules in the body ( 47). More research that looks at the effect of vitamin B6 alone on homocysteine levels and brain function is needed to better understand the role of this vitamin in improving brain health.Johansson, M; Relton, C; Ueland, PM; Vollset, SE; Midttun, Ø (June 2010).
