Which is why small focussed teams often give out better results (in terms of individual contribution) than large ones. buku yang seru untuk dibaca perlahan karena rupanya ketidak-tepatan berpikir dan ketidak-tahuan kita tentang pemikiran sendirilah yang kadang bikin kita bingung sendiri, seolah kita ngga kenal sama diri sendiri. And honestly, some of the anecdotes seem off, which makes me doubt the author really knows what he's talking about (to some extent).

One thing that this book had for me, was a short list of some useful books to get to once I'm done with this one. If you hear about a car crash and recently there was also a report about drunk drivers, you’ll conclude that the new event was also caused by irresponsible drinking. It’s much better than this book and much more informative, and it’s written by an actual psychologist. Rolf Dobelli has a gift for identifying the best ideas in the world and then putting them together in ways that make the whole even more valuable than the sum of the parts. We need no extra cunning, no new ideas, no unnecessary gadgets, no frantic hyperactivity—all we need is less irrationality. It is concluded that this study demonstrates that deterministic theorisation which homogenises groups of individuals is an unsophisticated tool with which to explore the complex issues surrounding the impact of English in the modern world.

A serious examination of the faulty reasoning that leads to repeated mistakes by individuals, businesses, and nations…In this fascinating book, Dobelli does not offer a recipe for happiness but a well-considered treatise on avoiding ‘self-induced unhappiness. It is so easy to not confuse the company spokesperson, the newscaster, and the cliché generator with those who possess true knowledge. See, that’s the thing about humans: We think we have more of a hand in our lives’ events than we actually do.Even if there is risk involved, you’ll choose to take your chances rather than trying something new, something unfamiliar.

As you get through the first few "chapters" your mind will be reeling with the insights-- they really are more subtle than the fun tone suggests at first. There are some exceptions for lists compiled and enumerated in a hilarious manner, but that isn’t the case here. Here is a quick description and cover image of book The Art of Thinking Clearly written by Rolf Dobelli which was published in 2011-1-1. No matter how much you have already invested, only your assessment of the future costs and benefits counts.Especially when it comes to "how to think" part it lacks enough explanation, evidence and/or recommendation. The first steps in the evaluation of SB 1720 included an analysis of the institutions’ implementation plans and a survey of college administrators. A simple experiment, carried out in the 1950s by legendary psychologist Solomon Asch, shows how peer pressure can warp common sense. It’s easier to become great at the things you’re naturally good at than it is the things you’re average-to-poor at.
