About this deal

EE's device has a lot going for it, with a massive 6,460mAh battery, a 30-metre Wi-Fi range and the ability to connect up to 64 devices at the same time. Impressively, it also supports Wi-Fi 6,leading to improved efficiency and speeds when multiple devices are connected. Right from the start I was having a problem with the router dropping out. As much as they tried, phone support weren't much help. I have solved the problem myself ... at least for me.

It’s a soft cap until anyone can prove otherwise, same with Three, I’ve personally used over 1TB on both services and not had any issues, I suspect it’s like the FUP Be Broadband had, for use in exceptional scenarios. The Netgear Nighthawk M6 is a 5G mobile broadband router that’s available from O2 at the time of writing.I don't use an antenna on mine. I live right in the middle of town and can almost see the attena that I connect too. If you have not already made your decision about which 5G router to buy and you know that you only have a good 5G signal outdoors then why not install an outdoor 5G router where you were thinking about installing your 5G antenna. If yes to above - Any tip for me on what kind of antenna I shall buy to benefit of better speeds/reception?

Got to be an improvement on the appallingly underpowered B535-232 they previously shipped to 4G customers. Guess you need to take out a 5G contract with them to get the router though? broadbandis much faster and more responsive than 4G broadband, and that gap is going to increase exponentially over the coming years. You should go with a 5G router if at all possible. The Huawei 5G CPE Pro (above) was notable for being the 5G router that every UK 5G broadband supplier issued – but Three, Vodafone and EE have all now replaced this with alternative models. You can still get itfrom National Broadband though, which calls it the5G WiFi Router. If anyone wishes to try Smarty first to see what the three service is like in their area, feel free to use my referral link so you get a free second month. The time that the router would have a nervous breakdown was when I ran a speed test. The router HATED being pushed to the connection-speed limit (230-315). Without fail, whenever I performed a speed test, the router would throw a strop. I thought "let me lessen its load. I'll switch the wifi off". You can only do this through the wifi schedule because there is no wifi "switch". As soon as the wifi was switched off my connection was solid (apart from very occasion dropouts for a few seconds - I have a tiny little script running to log dropouts). As I said I am still in my cooling-off period so I can't say it's been brilliant for ages, but it is now stable.

Your choice of portable 5G routers is extremely limited at the time of writing. But there are a couple of interesting options if you want to be more flexible or mobile with your 5G broadband connectivity. 5GWiFi EE is meant to offer the best data speeds where I live as I can see the mast. But will get a payg sim and try it on my mobile. I assume mobiles will give better speed than I can expect from a 4g router so it would be the absolute best case on mobile? This will eliminate the extra cost of an external 5G antenna because the 5G router is positioned outdoors where it can benefit from receiving the strong 5G network signal from your chosen 5G network provider. If the 5G Router is Outdoors, how Can I use it Indoors? A 5G router is a plug-in device that enables you to access home broadband using a 5G signal rather than the telephone wiring that runs to your home.

The Vodafone GigaCube 5Gappears to bea rebranded ZTE MC888 Ultra router, which theoretically offers top speeds of 3.8Gbps, though as with other options your real world speeds will be a lot lower. Despite being made by Zyxel, the only big brand name you’ll see on the device itself is Three’s, but that’s not uncommon, with networks often rebranding hardware from other companies.

Then in May I started with around 100. Its a bit better today, at just around 200, but still half what its been like for the previous 11 months, which has been excellent. He specialisesin smartphones, mobile networks/ technology, tablets, and wearables. Take Three– if you want 5G home broadband on this network, then you can only get it with the Three 5G Hub(also known as the Three 5G Home Broadband Hub) currently, but that needn’t be a problem, as this is a very good device. Same issue here. Customer services told me to reset the hub and leave it for “a while”. That was 24 hours ago. Based on the available data, you can currently expect a ping of around 20-35ms, which falls in between a decent home broadband connection (10–20ms) and a 4G broadband connection (around 35-50ms). Will it work for me to direct an unidirectional antenna towards the tower even though I do not have free sight towards it (mountain/trees in the way) You may have come to the 5G Antenna Store looking for an outdoor 5G antenna to connect to your 5G router.
