Add/Modify Region/State or Province lists

Postby Bonkers » Thu Nov 05, 2009 12:00 pm

Hi

After having taken some orders form Switzerland, one of my customers noted that some "Canton" areas were missing in the Region,State or Province check out fields.

My question is - where can I find this table to add/modify etc. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Patrick

quick look at teh DB and the directory_* tables look like the right place.

the core table woudl be directory_region

the secondary table is directory_region_name which has locale specific names for the regions. You woudl probably get away with leaving this table alone and just adding to the directory_region table.

Suggest you set up a local copy of Magento and experiment adding to these tables there. If it works and seems to not cause any problems then let us know, will be handy for future reference.

Don't even think about editing this kind of thing directly on a live site!

Magento Portable XAMPP

test to destruction, delete, unpack again and repeat :)
