About this deal

So, how is the verdict? Firstly the build. There is nothing really special in it. The castle is pretty basic, and the other elements are repetitive. It felt like 'let's get this over with so we can play', what goes against everything a LEGO build should be. So on that front, I'm not recommending this set. Overall: Not a great LEGO set in terms of building, but certainly a fun set to play with. This one will stay within grabbing distance during the vacation. More manuals of Lego Frequently Asked Questions about Lego set 9474 Lord of the Rings The battle of Helms Deep The battle begins once the Uruk host of 10,000 has formed fully in front of the castle - an accidental bow shot by an old man named Aldor kills an Uruk at the front, followed by a volley of arrows from all defenders once the Uruks begin to charge forward. The events are similar to those in the book, as Uruk-hai pour over ladders on the Deeping Wall to be met with a brave but shifting defence by the Rohirrim; however, Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn's roles are greatly expanded, and the device responsible for destroying the wall is revealed as a form of gunpowder. Once the wall is blown, the Uruk-hai pour into Helm's Deep through the breach. The set contains 338 parts and 3 spares, in 19 colors, and 18 part categories, with a total of 88 unique parts/color combinations.

Most Lego sets are suited to play with from age 4 and up, because of the small parts they include. The special Duplo theme is suited for children aged 1,5 and up. The recommended age is always mentioned on the box. Less than half of the 10,000 Uruk-hai who had survived the main battle had fled into the strange forest, where they were never be seen again, as this was actually the newly arrived Huorns from Fangorn. At night, unseen by the Rohirrim, the Huorns slew all remaining Uruks and buried them in a hill later known as the Death Down. The battle slowly turns from here; Aragorn is briefly incapacitated and, the Elves begin to wither, and Haldir himself is slain. The Rohirrim begin to suffer casualties of their own, their already-sparse forces thinning and losing their weakest members, and the Uruk-hai begin to besiege the keep by using a battering ram against the main gate. Théoden is injured in this chaos, and Aragorn offers aid, to which he requests "Time, as much you can get me." To do this, Aragorn and Gimli stealthily circle the fortress to ambush the Uruk-hai on the causeway. Gimli and Aragorn earn time for the Rohirrim to refortify the entrance, but soon the defenses break down as Uruks fully breach the area behind the Deeping Wall, and all remaining Rohirrim retreat to the keep. Once inside where they are trapped, Théoden falls further into despair while his soldiers brace the doors, as Aragorn and Gamling deliberate on sending the women and children further into the caves. To put it simply, the Lego Rivendell set is stunning. It is by far the best-looking and most detailed set on this list, not to mention the biggest. It has been the perfect way to revive the presence of Lord of the Rings in Lego form. With over 6,000 pieces and 15 unique minifigures, this set offers hours of fun assembly. Portrayal in adaptations " A new power is rising, its victory is at hand. This night the land will be stained with the blood of Rohan. March to Helm's deep, leave none alive. TO WAR! There will be no dawn for Men." — Saruman's speech to the Uruk-hai before their marchAfter I build a new Lego set I always have a few small pieces left. Did I forget to use them? Verified Batalla de las Hornburg (Battle of the Hornburg) Batalla del Abismo de Helm (Battle of the Helm's Deep) This Lego set might be small, but it is uniquely pretty. If you don't have the space for a large set, this is a nice alternative. It's small enough that it won't take up much room on your shelf while still representing your love of Lord of the Rings. As you’re heading through the castle on the horse, there is a minikit floating in the archway as you exit the castle.

One theme that always intrigued me, was the LEGO Games. Is it a brilliant idea, or does it have it's flaws? Let's find out. Contents: Introduction After the wall has be destroyed and you’ll down by the large opening, there is a dig spot to the right of the destroyed wall with the treasure in it.Just before dawn, Aragorn called for a parley at the gate and told the Orcs that they would die if they didn't surrender, but the Uruk-hai laughed at his threat and attempted to shoot Aragorn down, almost killing him. The Orcs then blasted open the gate, destroying the arch with the 'blasting-fire'. Suddenly, Théoden and Aragorn led a powerful cavalry charge out of the keep to the blasts of the great horn of Helm Hammerhand, followed by the defenders of the Hornburg, driving the Uruks away from the remains of the gate. At the same time, Éomer and Gimli with the company in the caves pushed the Orcs out of the Deep. The army of the Mark drove the enemy behind the Dike into the Deeping-coomb. The Two Towers was an unofficial subtheme of the LEGO The Lord of the Rings theme. It was introduced in 2012 and consists of four sets.

The plain version of 85863 is still being used in sets. Currently there are 26 sets with 6 colors. My collection has more unprinted colors: If you're willing to remove prints (I know, I'm a psychopath), there is a total of 25 monochrome pieces to collect. The easiest way to do this is, is by using nail-polish remover. Warning: Use it diluted. Start with at least a 1:10 dilution with water. Pure nail-polish remover will melt the plastic of the piece.
