I devoured Alessandra Torre’s book, “The Ghostwriter” so, I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of her latest and I was not disappointed! The two women have to sorta be friends since Neena and her husband moved next door. But that works out real well and then the cat claws come out. In the first half, we meet the characters and learn about their lives. Even if the pace was slow, it was entertaining and full on tension. The second half is even more compelling, I just couldn't stop reading. And the ending? I thought it was perfect! Neena, who works for William, beings to become a fixture in their lives. She is constantly around, having get togethers, jogging with William, and making underhanded comments about Cat's cooking and fertility issues. When did you realize that the antagonist, Neena, switched to Cat?Did it surprise you? Did you know all along?Did you figure it out when the railing broke?
