About this deal

Since the inception of Kashtira, Tearlaments has proven that it is basically able to merge with any other archetype. What happens when Kashtira is hit on the banlist? Will Tearlaments simply adopt yet another engine? With the exceptions of " Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart", " Tearlaments Rulkallos, " Tearlaments Reinoheart", and " Tearlaments Kashtira", the members of the archetype are DARK Aqua monsters. Tearlaments" is a portmanteau of "tear", "tiara", and "lament". The theme of sadness may be a reference to the tragic fairy tale The Little Mermaid. A 1-for-1 that Special Summons a Tearlament monster from your hand or grave by sending the targeted monster you control to the grave isn’t going to be a 1-for-1. You’ll target another Tearlament or Ishizu card and send it to the grave, activate its effect and get a plus off your “1-for-1”. Maybe you’ll mill and get more resources to use, maybe you’ll just trigger another Fusion Summon, either way, this effect IS NOT a 1-for-1.

Raigeki and Foolish Burial Goods are very weird hits in my opinion, because while they were never useful in the latest metagame, semi-limiting them makes no difference at all. However, they could be very important pieces for supports in the next three months, we may never know. What do I think of this List? Yata-Garasu and Change of Heart are cards that were previously thought to be extremely powerful throughout the entirety of the game's history - until the TCG unbanned them first. After witnessing the low impacts that these cards brought to the metagame, it is very safe to say that these cards are completely outclassed and will never live up to their legendary status 15 years ago. In this current meta, Evenly Matched is the most effective way to clear out the opponent's field, at the cost of doing nothing during the Battle Phase. The less cards you have on the field, the stronger this cards is; and because the cards are banished, the Tearlaments Cards cannot activate their GY effects. Main article: The Valuable Book EX 3 card storylines §No. 02: The New Broken Worlds Etymology [ edit ] Sky Striker Ace - Kagariis a very notable unhit, as if to celebrate the continuous waves of support the archetypes gets every year. This time, the power level of the game is way too high for Sky Strikers to compete. Although it may be a while before we can expect full power Sky Strikers again, we could be expecting even stronger cards for them, like the newly released Sky Striker Ace - Azalea. Generic ChangesTearlaments" is a portmanteau of "tear", "tiara", "lament" and "firmaments"; each card's name is derived from a word used to describe grief or sorrow. Thematically, the monsters and their names are based on different types of mermaids. Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess provides negation against monster effects, and it gets stronger if it was summoned with more materials. Boss Monsters

We of course have to look at the Tearlament Fusions, and we’ll look at the one that’ll be Fusion Material for the archetype’s next boss monster: Tearlaments Kitkallos. To reflect their theme of sadness, the mermaid girls "Tearlaments" were depicted as in distress or crying for various reasons, such as being abused by "Reinoheart" as seen in " Tearlaments Sulliek". Rulkallos" provides battle protection to Aqua monsters, and has a Special Summon-effect negate that also sends a "Tearlaments" card from hand/field to GY by effect. Its GY trigger effect has it revive itself if it was Fusion Summoned. It's the end of the year again! And with every end, comes a new beginning: the birth of a new OCG Format. Santa Claus has a list of nice and naughty cards, and here it is in its lengthy glory! This article will attempt to cover my personal thoughts and breakdown of the relevance of these sudden new shifts within the F/L list while we celebrate the passing of another great year. Because of how crucial the Graveyard is for the Tearlaments archetype, denying them that will shut down their combos. Dimension Shifter can do just that if you happen to open the Duel with it on hand, and might even singlehandedly win you the Duel if the opponent has no way of playing around i.

Underworld Goddess of the Closed World can use one of the opponent's monsters as materials, becoming a safe way to remove monsters from the field. It can also negate Special Summon effects by tributing a monster you control.for-1 effect on the surface to Special Summon a Tearlament from your hand or grave and send the other monster of yours that you had to target to the grave. Within this archetype and even used within other archetypes this won’t be a 1-for-1. Each Tearlament (minus Reinoheart) will trigger a Fusion Summon upon hitting the grave, monsters within other archetypes will trigger searches or field advantage. If you somehow only got a 1-for-1 with this effect it would feel like a negative. One of the two Boss Monsters for Tearlaments, Tearlaments Rulkallos can deny the opponent a Special Summon once per turn. It also provides protection to Aqua-type monsters from battle, and can Special Summon itself if this card was Fusion Summoned and sent to the GY afterwards. Tearlaments Rulkallos…well…this is awkard in light of the new banlist, but lets review it as if that didn’t happen. Kitkallos being banned seems like the most oblivious hit as its the main play maker due to the search, mill, and easy material requirement. While its the material for Rulkallos not only can they fairly easily use swamp king but they could print another monster that has the effect to copy her name. Along with making instant fusion a one card combo enabler. Bigger version of Kitkallos, needing Kitkallos and another Tearlament monster for the Fusion Summon. Because you need Kitkallos for this summon, you’ll have to Fusion summon her first and then fusion climb, which in Tearlaments isn’t hard to come by. Send another Tearlament monster that you haven’t used for the Kitkallos Fusion Summon, and boom! You’ve got Rulkallos. This is even easier to come by if you use Instant Fusion to summon Kitkallos and then mill a Tearlament monster that can perform the Fusion Summon through any kind of milling or discarding means. Tearlaments have their own effects to mill, they have the Ishizu monsters, and they’ve got Tearlament Grief, Tearlament Heartbeat, and Tearlament Scream in the form of Spell cards to send/mill to get that Tearlament in the grave to perform another Fusion Summon.

Art: 4.5/5 There’s a fan theory that the Visas lore archetypes are loosely based on Disney properties in Kingdom Hearts; The Little Mermaid, anyone? Personally, I think these erratas are great, as they have greatly lowered the potential of this card, yet kept it to an extremely playable degree. This Signer Dragon may see potential use in the future, but for now, we can only experiment with the tamer variant.

You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from you hand, but you cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. Kitkallos" can add/send specific "Tearlaments" cards to the hand/GY, and summon "Tearlaments" monsters from hand/GY while sending another monster from field to GY by effect. Its GY trigger effect mills 5.
