About this deal

This watch is the ultimate testament to the fact that affordable does not have to equal ”bad” or ”low quality”. The watch is simple but works. It is very straightforward and simply a nice watch. Moving on to the mechanical machine beating inside this SRPE77 – the Seiko 4R36 self-winding movement. The good news, however, is that if you want, you can easily change the strap. Plus, if you do decide to wear the bracelet, visually, it doesn’t look that bad. The hands are clean and simple and shaped like swords. The minute and hour hands have lumina on them for luminosity. Each 5-minute marking also has dots of luminova. It also has a white seconds hand. Quite basic and not much to say about it.

The watches wear quite comfortably and, as I’ve alluded to throughout this review, the Milanese bracelet is an outstanding option because of its looks and feel. The mechanical watches in the Seiko 5 collection have been enchanting watch lovers around the world since the early 1960s. It is one of the best-selling automatic watch lines worldwide and has always been aimed at sporty watch enthusiasts who are young at heart. It is equipped with a striking blue dial with a sunburst finish that catches the light beautifully. The dial is navy/midnight blue but changes color depending on how the light hits it. Description Seiko 5 Automatic Blue Dial Silver Stainless Steel Mens Watch SNKA05K1 The Case and Bracelet: Unlike many automatic watches, this model comes with a Seconds-Stop functionwhich allows the wearer to completely halt the movement within the watch.Authorised retailer for Seiko 5 Sports Watches. The Seiko 5 Sports is one of the brand's most beloved models and a The metal bracelet that is on has a deployant clasp featuring a dual-side button release which makes taking it on and off a breeze. Seiko 5 SNK793 Specifications For over 50 years, Seiko 5 Sports has delivered consistently high levels of reliability, durability, performance and value, endearing them to lovers of mechanical watches worldwide. Today, with a new design, this much-loved timepiece is re-born.

The Seiko SNK793 is one of Seiko’s most affordable automatic watches in the ”5” collection. But despite this, its price tag gives you extremely great value. This is also true for the SNK793, but to be honest, we have yet to find a watch at a price of about 100 USD whose metal bracelet tis high quality. The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster is celebrated for its practicality as well as its elegance. A deployment clasp is used to fasten the bracelet around the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: I am not impressed with the band. Somewhat on the inexpensive side and it is being replaced with a Hondinkee Grey Distressed Leather in a 22mm size. It should go well with the matte grey casing. Preference (casing) would have been done all in stainless steel. Looks cleaner The metal bracelet is generally the part that requires the most resources, and which is compromised with the most when it comes to affordable watches. The That being said, the light blue dial color isn’t necessarily my cup of tea. For example, if it came down to this exact style of case and bracelet, I prefer the green dial on the SRPD75 / SBSA019.

Indeed, both the bright dial tone and intricate texture make this a very unique watch, even among its peers. You can get a great sense of the dial’s texture in the image below. A majority of the "Seiko 5" watches have the automatic 7S26B "21 Jewel" movement (like the "SNK807K2") but I wanted to go with the Japanese made version. After reading a lot about the "7S26 vs. 7S36" movements on the net, it's hard to say if the average consumer will ever know the difference. Compared to the very similar half-priced SNK807K2, I prefer the SNZG11J1 model because: Seiko makes some of the best affordable timepieces out there. Sometimes, we wonder how they do it. In this article, we will look closer at a watch that only costs slightly more than 100 USD. In this price range, the vast majority of watches are low quality and only made to tell the time in the most basic form. But Seiko has used its expertise to create a watch that is both affordable, but also worthy of owning. This goes for the quality, the looks, and the movement inside. This is awfully impressive, so without further ado, let’s have a look at the Seiko 5 SNK793. represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet.

SEIKO 5 SPORTS ‘FIELD’ DESIGN

There is a wide array of automatic watches with designs inspired by diving watches in the Seiko 5 Sports collection. These include the refs. SRPD51K1, SRPD63K1, and SRPD55K2. The first two models belong to the Seiko 5 Sports family, while the latter is part of the Specialist series. All three watches are similar in terms of technology and design. Being a diver’s watch, this Seiko 5 Sports SRPE77 is outfitted with a unidirectional diver’s bezel. Naturally, it’s also made of steel and possesses a “knurled” texture on its outer flank that helps with grip.
