About this deal

To blend the color for a soft and even effect, you can use your fingertips. Lightly tap and blend the edges of the eyeshadow to create a seamless transition. If you want to add more drama to your eye look, you can also use the glitter eyeshadow as a topper. Simply apply a small amount of the glitter eyeshadow on top of your regular eyeshadow to add sparkle and dimension. I always have to wear an eye primer or my make-up won’t last a minute. Even with cream shadows but I feel like most people would want to use it without. WITHOUT Primer: This shadow lasted for 8 hours on me before starting to crease. I have extremely oily lids so I was pleasantly surprised. The swatch on the eyes looks patchy because of the way glitter reflects light, in real life it’s not. The difference between glitter and shimmer eyeshadows. Shimmer eyeshadows are a combination of very fine glitter and metallic shine powder. This makes them smoother in texture compared to glitter eyeshadows. Shimmer eyeshadows provide a subtle, luminous effect on the eyes.

You don’t get any glitter fall down through the day. It’s not patchy at all and you can layer it to get a more opaque look. I don’t hate it, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for a glitter. The main problem I have is that the glitter is so big and chunky it looks like kids makeup but the effect on the eyes isn’t terrible and it has a very good lasting time. So overall, I think that if you want a glitter eyeshadow you won’t be disappointed with this, especially if you are on a budget but I prefer more classy glitter. I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.

e.l.f. clean means we go above and beyond EU Cosmetic Regulation and FDA requirements by voluntarily removing more than the required 1,600 ingredients. To be honest, you know I love glitter so when I saw this I thought I could give them a go, I got two shades, you can read the review of the other (Pinky Swear) shade here.

Before you apply liquid glitter eyeshadow, start by prepping your eyelids with a primer to create a smooth base. This helps your eyeshadow last longer. From the eight shades on offer I bought Flirty Birdy and also Disco Queen, but the one in this post is Flirty Birdy which is a light bronzey gold with a sheer base and lots of golden glitter particles in different sizes, so they really catch the light. The formula is very sheer and the glitter is chunky and sparse. To me, it’s a bit too chunky and it looks like kids makeup, I see why people compare them to Stila but to me, they aren’t a dupe. They aren’t necessarily ugly and I’ll use them when I need glitter but the Stila ones are more elegant.A strange comparison, but I find the Stila version to be more ‘wet’, in that you feel how wet they are when you apply them to the lids, and you have to allow them to try. The ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow doesn’t feel wet, and sets down almost instantly on the lids. All e.l.f. products are free from phthalates, parabens, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban, and hydroquinone. All skincare is also free from sulfates. The doe foot applicator allows an easy application and the shadow is easy to blend with the finger. You have time to move it around but once it sets, you won’t be able to move it. SWATCH Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the elf Cosmetics Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in the shade Disco Queen.

WITH Primer: This shadow was bulletproof. I had it on for 12 hours and it was still perfect. If something it got even better. It was still super glossy and I had no creasing at all.
