About this deal

The display's maximum brightness topped out at about 336 nits, which is 36 nits higher than quoted. Still, it would be nice to have extra brightness for those who enjoy working outdoors. The touch version of the display is quoted at 400 nits, but the extra battery draw is certainly a downside.

Also, due to the sturdiness of the hinges, the lid wobbles only a bit when pushed. Besides, Lenovo had its name printed boldly on the mid-right corner of this laptop’s lid. Hence, the laptop performance is better than its competitors such as the ASUS ZenBook 14 and Schenker Vision 15. To give more details, the ZenBook 14 and Schenker Vision 15 scored 11058 and 6971 respectively on the 3DMark 11 test.

A Good Laptop, If Sliced a Little Thin

For clarity, the CystalDiskMark test is a storage benchmark that measures the read and write speed of a laptop. In case you are wondering, read speed is the time that it takes a laptop’s storage drive to save a file. In addition to its IPS panel, this display features an anti-glare coating. This anti-glare coating reduces reflection from the display.

The keyboard's wide setup on the compact chassis means there isn't enough room for top-firing speakers; they're installed on the bottom panel in a more traditional sense, with one 2W speakers in either front corner. Some Dolby Audio tuning profile options are available through Lenovo's onboard Vantage app, giving you a bit of flexibility in what audio sounds like. Note that this isn't the same as Dolby Atmos, which is more of a spatial audio tech that can emulate surround sound. Our final productivity test is Puget Systems' PugetBench for Photoshop, which uses the Creative Cloud version 22 of Adobe's famous image editor to rate a PC's performance for content creation and multimedia applications. It's an automated extension that executes a variety of general and GPU-accelerated Photoshop tasks ranging from opening, rotating, resizing, and saving an image to applying masks, gradient fills, and filters. Your laptop is your biggest gateway to the online world and beyond (except for your smartphone, of course). And we all have different priorities: The Lenovo ThinkBook 15 employs the 10th generation Intel Core i7-10870H processor. My Final ThoughtsIn our 3DMark tests, which predominantly measure GPU performance, the ThinkBook 13s edges past the XPS 13 in Firestrike (4,234 to 4,173) and more or less ties its Time Spy score (1,513 to 1,547). The ThinkBook 13s manages keep up with the XPS 13 in GeekBench 5's multicore benchmark (5,377 to 5,432) and only comes up 20 points short of tying the Book 13 in multicore performance (5,397). Therefore, in 2021, Lenovo announced the release of the ThinkBook 15. The Lenovo ThinkBook 15 is an efficient laptop that comes with a 4K display, dedicated GPU VRAM, and overall excellent performance. The ThinkBook 13s doesn't fare quite so well against its competitors when it comes to battery life though. It is Intel Evo certified, so we weren't surprised at all to see it make it past the nine hour mark in our battery tests, even if it just barely made it in both. To be more specific, you can either acquire the display with FHD (1920 x 1080) or 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution. However, this review is based on the ThinkBook 15’s 15.6-inch display with 4K UHD resolution. Therefore, in this memory review section, I will rate the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 a nine out of ten. Lenovo ThinkBook 15 Storage Option and Performance Review

During our daily Zoom meetings, the picture quality was more than adequate for our needs and we didn't hear any complaints about our audio, thanks to the dual-array microphone no doubt. Over the years, Lenovo has evolved greatly in the tech world. With the caliber of laptops they produce, they have become quite popular among tech lovers. Moreover, the laptop’s chassis is made from high-quality silver aluminum, which gives off a bold and solid look. Nevertheless, this laptop still features a few plastic materials.

What, No USB-A?

All in all, not bad considering the hardware handicap for ThinkBook 13s. We were genuinely impressed. Battery life All things considered, I will rate the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 a nine out of ten in this storage performance review section. Lenovo ThinkBook 15 Graphics Card Performance Review Typing is comfortable, but nav keys are tied into Fn key shortcuts. That means you'll be pressing two keys any time you want to use the likes of PgUp, PgDn, Home, End, and Insert. If you use these keys to maximize productivity, you might find the extra press annoying. We aren't at the point where a 1080p webcam is standard, unfortunately, but the 720p camera on the ThinkBook 13s isn't any worse than what most of us are using for work nowadays.

Display options differ depending on the CPU platform. The Intel version gets two 13.3-inch options, both with a 2560x1600 (2.5K) resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and your choice of touch or non-touch panel. The AMD version gets just one display option with a 1920x1200 resolution and Dolby Vision. For battery, the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 employs a 3 Cell 57Wh Li-Polymer battery. Lenovo claims that this battery can last up to 6.6 hours.

A more affordable ThinkPad alternative.

Speaking of multitasking, with 16 GB RAM, the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 should be able to run 18 chrome tabs simultaneously without lagging. Besides, you should be able to switch between these Chrome tabs with ease even when streaming a movie on Netflix. For processing power, the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 employs the 10th generation Intel Core i7-10870H processor. This processor has a base frequency of 2.20 GHz and a turbo boost frequency of 5.0 GHz Interestingly, despite being so thin, Lenovo still manages to fix an HD webcam at the top bezel. This HD webcam is just about the only thing you will find anywhere on the bezels. Moreover, based on the setting of the benchmark test, a high score means a better graphics rendering performance. So, on the test, the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 recorded a whopping 13343 points.
