The score evokes the film's bleak futurism with an emotive synthesizer-based sound, drawing on the jazz scores of classic film noir as well as neo-classical elements and Middle Eastern texture.

Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. The mastering on this pressing is pretty far from the 2015 pressing and the CD anniversary and is clearly only focused on the mids. In 2018 this was available again as an "exclusive limited edition" of 3,000 copies on 180 gram vinyl for ''Start Your Ear Off Right 2018'' which is identical to this release with the sole addition of a Rhino sticker for ''Start Your Ear Off Right'' campaign in the upper left-hand corner. The presentation itself is fine but the color scheme is clearly more washed than the original designs. If you don't see anything in this section to suit, please let us know as I'm sure we can source a speaker to suit your needs.An orchestral rendition of part of the soundtrack was released in 1982 by the New American Orchestra. Lot of people here probably can't hear it, since it's very low and small, but with an Ortofon 2M-Bronze, very good turntable and quite nice speakers, it's easy to say there's a problem. I would highly recommend just purchasing a sealed or NM copy of the 2015 version as the mastering just as so much more range.
