My only gripe with it is the lack of stage variety, some stages look similar where they could have been a little more creative but that's the nitty gritty. I enjoy this game a great deal but for me it has to be with good company, easy to pick up and get to grips with so you shouldn't feel that you need any previous experience, you'll just learn as you play! Aside from all the early DLC content (with characters like Goro, Jason Vorhees and Predator), you also get the second season pass pack which adds some very interesting characters. It may not be as vigourously tweaked for balance like other games but equally we’re not expecting to see five different versions of it. As far as feature-complete packages go, Mortal Kombat XL is among the best examples of a plentiful bounty of playing options.
