Finally, we have the main body of the Nerf Tri-Strike blaster. The paint job, while it fits in with the Nerf Modulus aesthetics, is a bit different. Instead of that bright yellowish green that the Modulus series is known for, the Tri-Strike features a much darker pine tree looking green. While I don’t necessarily understand why they felt the need to switch the color scheme up, it doesn’t look bad at all so, I can live with that. NERF has been making blasters long enough and with most blasters, you can easily hit the mag release with your trigger finger. However, unless you have fingers that a virtuoso piano player would be jealous of, you won’t be able to reach without removing your hand from the grip. The Tri-Strike comes with a 10 round magazine, but you can easily use any of the standard N-Strike magazines for a bit more capacity. The attachment itself does have a small internal barrel like the Retaliator front barrel extension which I find really pointless as they usually just slow down the speed of the darts. The Tri-Strike is a bolt-action clip system blaster that gets its name from its main advertised feature. With its included accessories, the blaster can fire three different types of ammunition: Elite Darts, Mega Darts, and Elite Missiles. The Modulus Tri-Strike blaster is a spring powered magazine-fed blaster in the modulus line which has some cool modular attachments So the blaster looks great. We get it. But how does it feel? How comfortable is it to use and fire? Well, it’s mostly all good here as well. The blaster feels superbly comfortable. The handle does not suffer from any of that skeletal-rib-design-cutting-into-your-hand stuff, like previous Modulus blasters. No, the handle feels smooth and is an excellent size for any hand type.
