Also, 4 words since I don’t want to spoil anything, but THE FREAKING BELT SCENE. My jaw dropped, omg. When she’s not writing she can be found sitting with a cup of coffee, in some comfy chair, with a book in hand. She is a mom (of both pups and kids), a wife, and an introvert. We all know that feeling when one of our favorite series is about to end, we become extremely sad that we are not going to be in this universe but you are also grateful you immersed yourself in this world. These feelings are exactly what I get from this series.I didn't even realize this was the first type of book like this I've read until I was reading a very very smutty pool scene ;). I remember looking away from the book full on blushing and laughing, saying something along the lines of "OMG this is so naughty" and then it hit me. THIS IS A FIRST!!!! Jenna slowly started learning that all of this hate and torment was for just one thing. Revenge. That is what Corey truly wanted, but why she did not know. Then Rex Winchester showed up. He was Corey’s cousin and someone that Jenna knew she should not be getting close to. He is an entire six feet of hotness, with a heart of gold and a smile which melted the panties off every girl within a fifty mile radius. He could’ve had anybody that he wanted, so why he chose Corey’s ex, the slutty, bullied girl, was beyond her. i didnt quite like TATUM here..she did upset me in this book 🥲😮‍💨 but seriously im so excited for her & ROMERO's book 🥹🥹🩷🩷 Ultimately though, we also get a decent plot that turns into quite the 'whodunnit' and keeps the story zipping along. Can Callum be redeemed? Hmmm.... We meet her after she just graduated college with her best friend Tatum. She is living with her boyfriend of five years at the time. Tatum is the daughter of billionaire/ gangster or maifia world. It’s really never defined what he does. Just that he bad and kills and has shady dealings. Bianca has always had a crush on her best friends dad who is twice her age but feels like he sees her as just a little girl. Until the night it all changes. Bianca sees Callum in middle of a sexual encounter and watches and pleases her self to act thinking he can’t see her. Little does she know he can. And their entire relationship changes from there.

Billionaire, Forbidden, Best Friend's Father, Age Gap, Br3eding Kink, Possessive & Controlling Hero The incidents of the story are wholly absorbing. YOU. ARE. THE. DEAD. Oh my God. I got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations AND be nothing at all like I expected. Or in Newspeak Double Plus Good. Let me preface this with an apology. If I sound stunningly inarticulate at times in this review, I can’t help it. My mind is completely fried. This book is like the dystopian Lord of the Rings, with its richly developed culture and economics, not to mention a fully developed language called Newspeak. This would genuinely be one of the most remarkable novels readers would ever read.

Bianca became one strong women. While pregnant with the baby she knew she had to be strong and protect it. She would do anything for her family including murder. She made sure Callum knew he was wrong and did not take any crap from him. She knew that she didn't need to rely on him and be independent but love him at the same time. She communicated her feelings a lot better and chose herself before worrying about anyone else's feelings.

Bianca has had a crush on her best friends father Callum, since she was sixteen years old. Finding herself having to move in with her best friend and her father, she catches Callum with a women one night. Does she leave once she catches them or does she stay and watch? Now if you're concerned about age gaps Bianca is 21 and I'm pretty sure Callum is in his early 40's if I remember correctly. Killer” is the first novel in the “Project” series and was released in 2015. In her eyes, he’d always be the same. Maggie Jacobs, age twenty-four, had lived a life of pain and heartache. After losing the one man that she had loved to an incurable cancer, she went on to take a job working for PGI Corporation in the hopes that she could find a cure in his honor some day. Little did she know that her simply working there could be the difference between life and death. I was really looking forward to this book, but it fell short for me. We meet Bianca when she’s graduating from college with her best friend. We find out that she’s had a crush on her best friends dad for years and has never acted on it.Sooooo this was my first "Best friend's dad romance" book and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Bianca is pregnant, and that is foremost on everyone's mind. She and Tutum are under a lot of stress with all the danger they have been exposed to. Not all of Callum's business dealings have been on the up and up. Unfortunately, his past is returning to cause trouble for him, putting his family through hell. The need for protection is higher than ever before. Callum is going out of his ever-loving mind, trying to arrange for the safety of his adult daughter, his unborn child, and the woman he loves. Too bad his arch-nemesis, Bianca's dad Charlie, didn't get the memo that he isn't the bad guy after all. The danger keeps finding Bianca, thanks to all of Callum's enemies. The race is on to end the threats against his family before someone ends up paying the ultimate price. To top it all off, secrets are revealed, and the consequences are dire. The question is, will Callum and Bianca ever get their happy ever after? Her ideas can be quite random. She’ll just get this tiny glimpse from some scene in the novel and she’ll suddenly find herself sitting down and typing, and typing. Before you know it, the entire book is written. I lapped up Book 1 because an obsessive, over the top, possessive bad boy (or very much a man in this case) is right up my street! Don't judge me...

WELL. The Torrio Empire trilogy is officially over and I am not okay. I went into this series thinking, “oh age gap, mafia, this will be good,” and I came out of book one DYING for book two and then when that was okay, CRYING for book three. In my eyes, this trilogy is perfection from start to finish…. my only critique is that it’s over and now I am sad 😭 I love that we get to continue Empire of Lies by starting off from the cliffhanger in the first book. Okay, so I thought Callum was crazy in book 1, but he is so freaking unhinged in book 2, but I really enjoyed his character in Empire of Lies since we get to see how much Bianca has affected him both emotionally and physically. I also enjoyed seeing Bianca’s character how she was able to resist Callum and his temptation. Both Bianca and Callum, have such great character development in this book. Callum shows his true feelings for Bianca and would go through great lengths for both Bianca and for his daughter, Tatum. Bianca has grown a great deal, from being the naive girl to a women who is resilient and fierce. For the past 5 years Callum Torrino is all Bianca has thought about. Fantasized about. What she would do to make him hers. But he is her best friend’s dad and that kind of makes him off limits. Until one night… And oh what a night.Bianca has had a crush on her best friend's dad forever, but she always knew it was wrong. He does not feel the same way and she would have to keep living in her fantasy. Until she sees him next to the pool one night and everything changes. Will she finally have her fantasy? Or will it turn uot to be a nightmare? Kase Jones is Maddie’s best friend’s dad, and almost twice her age, however he makes her blood hum, and her body ache like nobody else has before, and there isn’t any denying she wants him. What a rough ride Bianca and Callum have been on! I feel like my emotions have been on a roller coaster with them. There were moments of extreme rage, deep sorrow, but most of all, hope and love. Callum noticing Bianca over the years, tempting and taunting him. But reminding himself she’s his daughters best friend and can be nothing more. But after he catches her watching him, things completely change after that night. He is going to possess Bianca, claim her and make her his. And he will do anything and everything in his power to tie her down to him.
