connect the included usb cable to the unit and charge it using a computer or any charger with a usb port. standard usb to usb-c cable for midi, for data transfer between OP–Z and computer, and for charging the OP–Z internal battery. connect OP–Z wirelessly to a mobile device. thanks to the extremely energy efficient ble technology your OP–Z will run and sync to your screen for hours and hours, without you having to charge the unit.this device contains licence-exempt transmitters that comply with innovation, science and economic development canada’s licence-exempt rss(s). photomatic lets you add up to 10 sequences with 24 pictures each, all possible to edit with the colored dials. The design is sleek and minimal and I love it. It's very impressive to me how they do so much with so few buttons and knobs. I thought working without a screen would be more difficult but It's very easy to navigate parameters once you learn what colour means what.

This runs via Bluetooth, and gives full visualisation of the sequencer, sound engines and effects (using some great eye-catching graphics), and also acts as a screen for the visual sequencers. It’s really nicely designed, and helps to clarify and open up the OP-Z’s capabilities – to the extent that I’d be wary of recommending the OP-Z to anyone without the ability to run the companion app. connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. OP–Z comes with 12 synthesis based sound engines. more sound engines will be released continuously and made available through the configurator in the OP–Z app.ideal for when you head down to the park, take a road trip or go on tour. the softer pvc tarpaulin roll up protective case comes in asphalt gray this equipment complies with ic rss-102 radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

Let me start by saying this could be a brilliant device. It sounds good, inspires and is powerful for creating music but .. here comes the 'could be' part... by exposing the inner control data of the OP–Z and linking it to unity® users can create anything within unity®, customizing every single polygon in a performance and completing the live set with unique visuals. this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. The OP-Z is unlike anything else on the market right now. TE might have another cult classic on its hands here.

Is there anything the OP-Z can’t do?

Great as a makeshift drum machine for live jamming. The live effects make for dynamic sounding drum fills. Similarly, setting the synth to random can create really interesting loops. Technically there’s nothing you can’t do with the hardware alone, and there’s something to be said for relying more on your ears than parameter data, but functions like making LFO assignments or rearranging Step Components would prove very tough without access to a screen. The OP-Z hardware itself features a rechargeable (and user-replaceable) battery, which is charged using the included USB-C to USB 3 connector.
