About this deal

There's no option for zonal control through radiator thermostats either, and the plastic design isn't stylish, but it's worth considering for those that already have an Echo or two.

It connects to your boiler via a module - or HubSwitch - and uses its own (low energy seeker signal RF) system to connect with the thermostats and radiator heads. It's really clever in doing this. It supports up to 30 rooms and 50 radiators, more than any other system.Comfortable climate at the touch of a finger: Thanks to the Radiator thermostat with targeted temperature control for individual rooms and intelligent timer, you can easily determine the heat output in your home. I started with the Indoor Climate Starter Kit, which gets you the Smart Home Controller (the hub), two Radiator Thermostats and a Door/Window sensor, which lets the heating in a room turn off when you have a door or window open. By default, the system is set to do this immediately, but you can change the delay to between zero and 180-seconds. Normally, I’d argue that implementing this feature in software is better, with the thermostats measuring the temperature drop to detect when there’s a window or door open. However, Bosch’s Door/Window sensors can also be used in the alarm, setting off a siren when the alarm is armed. This is the set up a lot of homes will have. You can manually set the thermostat temperature, and it will turn the boiler on and off to maintain the temperature of the room it's placed in.

The Google Nest Thermostat was launched in the US in October 2020 and replaced the Google Nest Thermostat E as the brand's more affordable smart thermostat offering. However, the Nest Thermostat E is still available in the UK. Precise temperature for each room in the house: ensures the desired temperature in every room and displays the current temperatures in the app. This isn’t particularly flexible, as you may want to have a room warmer in the evening when there’s no sun, and cooler during the day. It would make more sense if, like rival systems, Bosch let you set a more detailed schedule. You can set the temperature of each room using the thermostatic radiator valves. However, as seen on the diagram, the valves can't communicate with the smart thermostat or your smartphone, so you will have to change them manually. Optimised design: facilitates intuitive operation through convenient rotary movements, as well as easy readability thanks to its modern, rotatable display. The Honeywell Evohome gives you total control over your home, with individual thermostats for each radiator enabling you to set an independent heating schedule for every room in your house.

Bosch can see if your product is online but cannot gain access to your information. If necessary, you can authorise Bosch to gain temporary access to your product. The temporary access can be revoked at any time by turning it off in the app. Robert Bosch Smart Home GmbH was incorporated as a fully owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Headquartered in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, the company offers complete, intelligent consumer solutions for networked homes. However, searching for the best smart thermostat is not as straightforward as you would think since there are two basic types. One is a little more basic and cheaper, meant to keep your entire space at a single setting, while the other, more expensive kind can customize each room to its own setting. Of course, that type is pricier as it requires extra installation of smart radiator valves and cooling vents.Changes made to a Radiator Thermostat happen immediately, with the LCD showing the change in temperature. The valve can take a few seconds to respond and start moving. As with rival products, the motor makes a high-pitched wine; it’s quiet enough, but it may take a while to get used to the sound in your bedroom. You can also set the heating temperature manually by either setting the manual mode or adjusting the temperature in the app or directly on the thermostat/room thermostat. In this case, the manually set temperature remains set only until the next switching point. A84-1876: The connection to the appliance has been lost. No communication to the appliance is possible. There’s also a scheduled mode. Again, this too is basic. You can set a “Warm phase” and “Cold phase” temperature, and then the schedule lets you choose which periods use each phase. Either way, we certainly believe that the convenience and savings a smart thermostat offers make it more than worth it. How do smart thermostats work?
