Just before we get into the detail of analysing the price of this product, we want to briefly highlight the importance of setting yourself a budget before you spend too much time shopping around for a suitable product. It’s all too often that we get carried away when shopping and find ourselves buying a fantastic product, but probably actually overdelivers on what we need and therefore costs a lot more than we should have spent. So spend a bit of time looking around at the sort of price you can expect to pay for products in the Vacuum cleaners category and use that alongside your own financial situation to set yourself a budget. To keep the cleaner working efficiently and effectively the filters will need to be cleaned regularly. There are 2 filters on the cleaner the first of which is inside the dust box. Start by removing the dust container from the product by pressing the release button on the top of the container, place over your dust bin or bin bag and press the catch on the bottom of the container that will open the flap and allow the dust to escape. Give the container a shake to help release all of the dust and dirt. Equally strange is the “Max” line level on the side of the bin, which – if followed to the letter of the instruction manual – would give you the actual bin capacity of a small tea cup. During testing, we filled it way past this level (as most people will) without major loss of suction, so take that Max level as a guide. At first it seemed impossible to detach the bin, despite the clip releasing as it’s meant to. It later transpired that the inserted section of the hose protrudes so far into the bin that you actually have to unclip and remove the hose to get the bin out of the cleaner. No mention is made of this in the instruction manual, and quite frankly, it’s one extra stage in emptying the bin that we could do without. Keeping the filters clean will improve the suction power of your Breeze vacuum. There are two filters in the cleaner and it's really easy to find them and clean them.
The clever removable handle inserts into the floor nozzle for storage. With the overall height reduced to under 70cm, your vacuum fits into a cupboard, without taking up too much space. The 1.4m hose is flexible and feels tough enough to withstand a fair bit of abuse. At one end is a simple curved plastic handle with suction-release slider, and on the other is a pinch-clip fitting to the cleaner body. The latter proved much easier to use than some other pinch-clip hose connectors we’ve tried, ensuring this cleaner can be easily dismantled for storage. Remove the dust box from the cleaner by pressing the release catch next to the handle. Place it over your dust bin or a bin bagand open the dust release flap.The hose, tubes and main floor-head don’t quite add a kilo to the overall weight, making this an easy cleaner to handle. Until you begin to clean, that is. To get the very best suction it is important to keep the 2 filters clean. The exhaust filter is found at the front of the product behind a cover. Unclip the cover, peel the micro filter out and dust it out. For best results we recommend you wash this in warm water making sure it is thoroughly dry before re fitting. Both these filters can be dusted clean or washed in warm water, if you do wash them please make sure that they are dried thoroughly before re fitting them. Clean the blue fibre filter and the spongy bit.
The cyclonic unit can be lifted out of the container as shown and cleaned by immersing in warm water along with the container. Make sure everything is dry before re assembling.
