About this deal

Lyonne: I don’t know what to say other than that there is a text thread between myself, Janicza, and Rian about the ring that is one of my prized possessions. Natasha, how did filming the ninth episode — when Charlie’s been on the lam for some time and seen an awful lot of murders — effect your character continuity? Also, that’s a physical episode because Charlie is hit by a car and buried alive before she has to claw herself out to safety.

Get this book. This is definitely beach worthy and summer worthy. It is also a good any day read! Put it on your list, or run over and buy it now. It's good reading! After just three weeks of talking, the two met for the first time at Vivien’s house. Charlie had told her that he was into BDSM and would like to integrate that into their sexual relationship. Vivien had already been experimenting in bed and agreed, but what Charlie did went way over the line.Everyone could see that they were perfect for each other but them. They were completely adorable together. The banter and chemistry between them was a lot of fun. I couldn't help but root for them and want them to see how much they belonged together. Charlie's heart is tender enough to give in when Davis makes his pitch. But, of course things get out of hand in a big hurry. When Davis, a confirmed bachelor, realizes that the only reason his Mom is not marrying the love of her life because he would be left alone he knows he has to do something. Not actually get married, heaven forbid, but a fake fiancee might calm his Mom down so she would not worry about him any longer and finally accept her long time friends marriage proposal. Besides he wants to become a cowboy and buy a ranch. He had to take over his Dad's business when he died and has never enjoyed the work. Charlie is at a point in her life where she wants to experience new things and push herself. I thought they were cute together and had fun chemistry. I did not get her aversion to cowboys. At all. I kept waiting for some big explanation (and maybe I missed something) but none really came. When she was six her parents died and she was raised by her two adoring and over protective older brothers. Both were successful ranchers and rodeo cowboys. I guess she was just burned out on the lifestyle? I would have liked if we could have seen why she was so against it. Yes, her brothers were a tad overprotective and rodeo cowboys do risk their lives, but it wasn't enough to explain why she was adamant about never marrying a cowboy. If anything, I would kind of expect someone with her upbringing to be totally into the lifestyle. Overall, it was a fun escape and cute story.

Reaching out to Robson to confirm his identity, Robson’s investigation would see her launch herself into a seven year investigation spanning several continents. Lyonne: Each one really is a world unto itself. And, of course, that’s what makes the show so fun. It’s such a hard and beautiful work from the the various department heads. It’s a real undertaking; they’re 10 individual worlds, top to the bottom. As I spoke to more people, I worked out the reason why this guy has been getting away with this for so long is that he keeps the amount scammed pretty low even though obviously it’s quite a lot for the victim. In fact, Charlie's crimes have taken him from New Zealand to Australia to the south of France where he took deposits for the sale of items that didn't exist. Aside from a couple episodes, there’s really no ambiguity as to whether the victim, or almost victim, deserves to die. Usually, they’re pretty decent people and the answer is no. Was that a conscious choice? Will that be changing with the second season?Charlie is a character who has, and does, suffer significant trauma. Natasha, how do you find ways to include levity in a story such as this? Chasing Charlie is a fun, witty, lighthearted romance ~ perfect for a day at the beach or poolside. Tracey would eventually expose Gill for leading a double life – living at home with her whilst all along living with another woman and their infant child. Sam was a flawed but believable character. She loves her job and is really good at it but her salary slips through her fingers as soon as it's earned! She faces the embarrassment of her credit cards being declined and is often bailed out by her friends and family. She is behind on her rent and contribution to the bills and flatmate Mara is understandably starting to lose patience! She is a kind person though and I couldn't understand why she was so keen to get together again with the sleazy but very handsome Charlie. In her pursuit of him, she gets herself in all kinds of embarrassing situations and she isn't listening to her friends advice. At times I wanted to shake her and at times I wanted to take her aside and say 'now look....'. Even she begins to wonder who she is and what she really wants deep down. The new true-crime podcast series Chasing Charlie is about as Juicy as they come. The seven-part series follows an eight-year chase of New Zealand con artist Paul Bryan Gill, it involves six-figure cash sums, intercontinental escape acts and it’s told by the private investigator who worked the case from day dot, Julia Robson.
