About this deal

Stars: Not a lot here since 95% of this short takes place in a towering dance hall. Think that scene in Revenge of the Sith where Palpatine and Anakin talk about Darth Plagueis (and also watch Squid Lake). The one big takeaway from just about everyone who watched this show is that Young Leia actor Vivien Lyra Blair absolutely nailed the role. Her immediate entry to Star Wars royalty has led to several big convention appearances since the show's release, where she finds herself regularly autographing 3D-printed replicas of her co-star L0-LA59, or "Lola" as it's called on the show. Lola frequently manipulated her casing in various ways to emote, including flapping her decorative wing panels, as well as responding to both conversation and direct commands through beeping. Lola was a great and loyal friend to all kindhearted people around her, especially to Leia Organa and the rest of her masters. She would show the courage to protect and help them in the face of danger, although this would usually end in failure. But Lola's personality and valiance always spread hope to the ones around her, as she did for Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the innocents traveling The Path. [ source?] Equipment [ ] Toy droid [ ] Emotions are understandably high for everyone in the moments between the final demise of the Death Star and the wedding of Leia and Han, and author Beth Revis does a great job diving into those small but impossibly human moments after a brutal moment in war. SERIES-INSPIRED DROID MOVEMENTS: In Companion and Hover Mode, this Star Wars toy opens and closes her mouth, moves the panels on top of her head, and tilts her head from side to side

Does it work? Seeing this side of the Rebellion — one relying on subterfuge and reconnaissance instead of fighter pilots and guns — is incredibly fascinating. From the dance hall to the dancers themselves, “The Spy Dancer” paints an evocative picture of how espionage would work in this setting. The characters are also very compelling, especially Loi’e, a seasoned spy who has a personal reason to hate the Empire and a mission she wants to fulfill. “The Bandits of Golak” In Companion and Hover Mode, this Star Wars toy opens and closes her mouth, moves the panels on top of her head, and tilts her head from side to sideStars: No stars here! This one takes place on a metropolitan planet, so it’s all city buildings and narrow streets instead. Visions: “Aau’s Song” is done in this wonderful stop-motion style that lends itself to cozy and adorable characters as well as utterly gorgeous landscapes and scenery. Additionally, Aau’s Force abilities being in tune with music and her singing is just really cool to see. We were very inspired by that, and wanted to discover if we could use the medium of CG to make it an integral part of the story. By trying to imbue our visuals with beauty and expressiveness, you end up with a great and enjoyable journey for the audience.”

Does it work? This one is the darkest of all the shorts, with an on-screen good guy death that is particularly heartrending. But at the same time, because the protagonists are so low (literally: they are in a pit), the eventual victory feels particularly cathartic. Like “In the Stars,” this one focuses on people rising up and triumphantly overthrowing the Empire. Unlike “In the Stars,” there are a lot of characters so it takes on a more macro view, which may or may not work depending on if you like more relationship-driven narratives. “Aau’s Song” Kids and fans can bring home the animatronic edition of this loveable droid companion, L0-LA59 (Lola), and reimagine iconic scenes from the Star Wars Galaxy Wars: Very light on the war front here! The focus is on a bear-like alien species that mines kyber crystals for lightsabers. Except, all the kyber has been corrupted by Sith and need to be cleansed by Jedi. Visions: The art style in this one is gorgeous. Lola is a painter and she manipulates her paint (presumably using force powers). The style looks handpainted and renders the Light and Dark sides of the Force with such vivid colors — so damn cool. The showdown between Lola and her former master is especially triumphant, when Lola finally wields her lightsaber and embraces both the Dark and Light of her own power.Lola was first pictured in a Volkswagen commercial that showcased the ID. Buzz, [12] a car that was made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd. to promote the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series. [13] She first appeared in the first episode of the series, which was released on May 26, 2022. [14] She was first identified as L0-LA59 in a StarWars.com article announcing Lola products that were revealed at Celebation Anaheim, 2022. [15] On the transport, Kenobi was able to calm himself down, despite the dire circumstance, and fix Lola. He handed the toy to Organa, who would keep it on her until they reached a Mapuzo mining village, where she presented Lola to the loader droid NED-B, telling her to greet him. [3] Wars: Daal, the girl who’s been most bent on finding the cave , has a brief faceoff with the mysterious ghost in the cave. But other than that, it’s pretty light on the war end of things. Deborah Chow] didn't even pitch the entire show to me, but just said, 'There's a little girl and she's going to have this droid that's like a toy or companion. This would be the baby version of R2-D2." ―Jon Borland [11] Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.

Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi to 9 BBY. Therefore, the events of " Part II," including the death of L0-LA59 above Daiyu, must be set in 9 BBY. In 9 BBY, she would accompany Organa when she was kidnapped by Vect Nokru's crew sent by the Third Sister to lure out the secluded Obi-Wan Kenobi. While her master was taken from planet to planet, she protected her together with the old Jedi, but was given a restraining bolt by Reva, which briefly worked to foil their escape. Once it was removed, she became an accomplice of the Hidden Path and brought hope to all who traveled it. She and her friends were eventually able to get Organa home. Safe and far away from the Galactic Empire, Inquisitorius, and Darth Vader.Regardless of how much you love or hate it, this spring's Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi got a lot of attention. Some consider it a welcome return to something that felt more like classic Star Wars adventuring, while others would have preferred something a little grittier. Visions: One of the most intriguing things about this short is the dancing — and how that translates into the climactic fight. Loi’e, the principal dancer and head spy, does an impressive routine using aerial silks. When she fights the Stormtroopers, she uses those silks as weapons. Her protege, Hétis, has a similar balletic fighting style. It’s fun to see a Star Wars fight that doesn’t rely on lightsabers or blasters. Stars: There are some shots of the night sky, but nothing long lasting enough to make the Star score go up. Visions: The animation has this lovely painterly quality, with certain shadows and lighting looking particularly cool. But the best part is towards the end, where a character you would not really expect to be a Jedi whips out a lightsaber and fights the Sith inquisitor who has come to collect Rani.
