About this deal

Our felt materials are processed to high temperatures ensuring a more stable product in extreme conditions and a higher purity while maintaining low thermal conductivity at high temperatures. This high temperature processing also serves to improve dimensional stability and prevent the further degassing and degradation of materials that could contaminate products. Carbon fibres are produced from polymer fibres such as polyacrylonitrile. The initial fibre material is heated to around 1000°C causing 2-dimensional carbon-carbon crystals (graphite) to be formed when hydrogen is driven out. The carbon-carbon chain has strong molecular bonds and is what gives the fibres their high strength. Applications for Carbon Fibre Sheets Their textured centre strip rolls fast on the hard stuff with its straight-line speed not far off a road tyre. They’ve just enough shoulder tread to bite on dirt corners but, as these are the ‘dry’ version of the tyre they don’t fair so well when the gravel’s wet and mud-laden. Relevant to a wide variety of high-specification markets, our carbon and graphite felts can bring tangible benefits to applications including: Carbon fibre sheets and felt sheets are widely used in industrial and domestic applications, providing lightweight yet highly durable protection. Manufactured from fibres and synthetic materials, these robust sheets help to provide an aesthetic finish, whilst offering optimum protection and durability. Why use carbon fibre sheets?

Rayon-based, our carbon and graphite felts have been specifically developed to harness superb insulative properties including low thermal conductivity, dimensional stability and uniformity as well as low ash and high purity levels.

LEADER IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS OF ISOSTATIC GRAPHITE

Carbon fibre sheets also include a wide range of benefits including low thermal expansion, corrosion and UV resistance, radiolucency and good electrical conductivity. Thus making carbon fibre sheets ideal for use in both industrial and electrical engineering applications. How are Carbon fibre sheets made? High temperature vacuum furnace applications such as nitriding, carburising and heat treating of components
