Moreover, this monster can prevent the opponent to special summon a monster from the graveyard once per turn. Is This Set Worth Buying Finally, we see that one Spell and two Traps that were not included in Gates of the Underworld but that are included in Dark World made it: Dragged Down into the Grave, Dark Smog and Skill Drain.

Dark World" cards do not activate if they are discarded as part of a cost (e.g. " Lightning Vortex" or " Monster Reincarnation"), but they have several cards that force discards as an effect (e.g. " Dark World Dealings", " Dark World Lightning" or " Brron, Mad King of Dark World"). The difference has become easier to determine with the July 2011 " Problem-Solving Card Text" solution. Useful, but not a starter, and Dark World already has Snoww to add a Dark World card as needed — 2 copies Gateway only allows you one summon in the turn it’s played: the monster you resurrect with this card…when the competent Dark World monsters can already do that by and to themselves and need to semi-swarm the field as often as they can Another uncommon strategy is discarding " Ceruli, Guru of Dark World" when you have a "Dark World" monster that gains effects when discarded by an opponent's card effect (e.g. " Reign-Beaux, Overlord of Dark World", "Goldd", or "Snoww"). Since the effect of "Ceruli" summons itself on the opponent's side of the field, you are the target of its discard effect; this gives your "Dark World" monster a special effect and wastes the opponent's field space. Sillva and Goldd have to be discarded by an opponent’s card effect to have a powerful effect; the self-resurrection effect is also available on Beiige, but unlike these Level 5 monsters, Level 4 Beiige can be Normal Summoned/Set without Tribute if needed

If Summoning a "Dark World" Fusion Monster this way, you can also discard monsters from your hand as material. If it is destroyed, you can add a banished DARK monster to your hand. This works well with " The Gates of Dark World"; by banishing a "Trance Archfiend", you can later recover it by another copy's effect for a Loop.

This section will show exactly which effects are activated with any "Dark World" monster's discard. This also shows exactly the additional effect that happens when the opponent's effect is the cause for the discard. If this Fusion Summoned card leaves the field by your opponent's card: You Special Summon 1 of your "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World" that is banished or in the GY, then each player with a card in their hand, discards 1 card from their hand.

You can Special Summon this card (from your GY) by returning 1 Level 7 or lower “Dark World” monster you control to the hand. The names of "Dark World" monsters are mostly based on colors, many of which feature prominently in their artwork and their army positions. The English names are based on the words for the colors with letters added and removed. The Japanese names are based on the transcriptions of the English words for the colors with one or more morae deleted. The Chinese names are combinations of the color names and transcription/transliteration of English or Japanese words, in terms of phonetics. The anime version of " Dark Corridor" also belongs to this archetype since its kanji name contains "暗黒界". The TCG/OCG version does not belong to this archetype, but does directly support it. Good News: Dark World Eats Your Entire Hand Now

Unchained Abomination (3000 ATK, Link 4) requires 2 or more monsters including a Link Monster to be summoned to the field. This monster can budget on some of your Dark World monster effects that destroy a card on the field to destroy another card. In addition, when another monster is destroyed by battle and during the end phase the player can destroy another card severely damaging any player strategy. If this Fusion Summoned card leaves the field by your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 of your “Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World” that is banished or in your GY, then each player discards 1 card. If this card is discarded to the GY by a card effect: You can target 1 “Dark World” monster in your GY, except “Perl, Hermit of Dark World”; Special Summon it to either field, then, if this card was discarded by an opponent’s card effect, you can Special Summon 1 of your Fiend monsters that is banished, in your hand, or in your GY to either field. Dark World" cards are generally intended to gain advantage by activating Summoning, destruction, and other effects through discarding cards (through effects) from your hand into the Graveyard. Many "Dark World" monsters gain extra effects in the graveyard if they were discarded by an opponent's card effect.
