So if you go faster, dont fool yourself, stop pedaling and use the throttle and see if the motor is laboring or not. If you want to sustain this speed. Use the gear that lets motor spin fast but maintain the speed (not labor).
It sports a huge array of beefy cooling fins around the motor casing. Making this thing almost impossible to overheat. All of the connectors are waterproof also. They give a satisfying popping noise when you unplug them. Strictly speaking, you don’t. The BBSxx line of motors have a quasi-hidden settings interface. With the right software you can gain access to those settings and simply change them, resulting in big differences in behavior. We are monitoring the temperature in the inside of the motor and not allowing it to get over 300 degrees Fahrenheit.We are offering it for people who know what they are doing and will be responsible with this kind of power (know what gear to ride in, understand battery limits, etc). Be sure and add either the 52v 14ah Super-Shark battery or the 52v 17ah Jumbo-Shark battery for the best battery powered bike kit. A common complaint on the BBSxx motors is you can stop pedaling and the motor keeps going for what feels like a full second. Its a valid concern. 5 is the lowest safe number for the BBSHD so thats where mine is. This setting effectively means your motor stops when you stop pedaling. WARNING: This BBSHD 1000W motor kit is SERIOUSLY POWERFUL! Technically speaking it is only for off-road and private property use. Some riders are able to achieve speeds of 40+mph! Our 750W BBS02 motors meet the power needs and wants of the majority of riders. It is your responsibility as the rider to follow applicable local and federal traffic and ebike laws.
