RACD – The RACD model range is a step up from MC3. These clippers are designed for grooming medium coats and have a detachable blade. While they aren’t as durable as more expensive Andis clippers, they are lightweight and a decent choice for light grooming tasks.Both are A5 model clippers. They fit all brands of A5 blades from size 50 (under 1mm coat length), up to size 3 (over 1cm), and all brands of universal comb attachments (for coat lengths under 3mm to over 3cm). They come with one #10 blade. Additional blades and comb attachments available separately. You can also buy used or second-hand Andis clippers. Make sure these are still in good condition when you buy though – particularly if they’ve been heavily used by a professional groomer.

All goods are sent using Australia Post and/or Direct Freight Express unless otherwise pre-arranged with The Clipper Shop. MBG2 – The MBG2 range is similar to the RACD, but with a heavy-duty exterior for extra durability. MBG2 clippers are powered by a rotary motor and are suitable for medium coats. Models in this range also come with either an UltraEdge or CeramicEdge blade.

The Andis Excel 2 is a 2 speed corded clipper. Available in Sparkle Pink. This is a run-out model that's being replaced soon by the upgraded Excel 5.

Spare parts installed during a service performed by The Clipper Shop, where all electrical spare parts are installed by a fully qualified and licensed electrician, are guaranteed for 3months subject to normal wear and tear limitations.

What’s the advantage of two speeds though? It’s easier to groom sensitive areas with a lower speed, which is why the 3400 SPM mode is a useful feature. For a faster and smoother cut, the 4400 SPM mode is fantastic. Andis also produces EGT UltraEdge blades. EGT stands for “electro-glide” and means the blades are coated for a faster cut. Andis claims EGT blades provide a smoother finish. While the “best” brand is fiercely debated amongst groomers, t here’s no doubt Andis produces some of the highest quality pet clippers. The company is also known for their excellent customer service and durable machines. Once you buy Andis clippers, it’s important to use and maintain them correctly. Make sure you read the manual closely – especially regarding oiling the blades and head maintenance.
