If you already own the Logitech shifter, this new racing wheel is fully compatible. You can connect your shifter in exactly the same way you did with the old G29, and it will work out of the box. This time around Logitech has cut down on the disparity between the two camps. There are naturally two versions of the G923 – one comes with typical PlayStation controls built-in, one with Xbox controls, and both are compatible with PC – but now both versions get the same name and the same flourishes (namely, that same 24-point selection dial and the set of LED rev indicator lights). The G923 will also be compatible with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The two shorter buttons, on the other hand, have a "left and right", so take one of them, insert it into one of the two remaining holes (the ones furthest from the centre of the steering wheel) and turn them until they match the mechanism. If it doesn't fit, you need to put it in the other hole. Trueforce is the name that Logitech have given their new wheel vibration technology. Trueforce is designed to replicate the vibration that you would feel in the chassis of a car if you were driving it in real life. So, almost out of nowhere Logitech revealed their “brand new” racing wheel. This got many sim racers excited until… We all saw how the G923 looked. It looks identical to the G29!
Hello everyone, I was wondering if the latest Logitech Wheel the G923 works on both the PS4 and XBOX right out of the box? I could have sworn that before only the specific console versions worked, meaning if I bought the G29 ( PS4 ) it wouldn't work with the XBOX and the G920 version didn't work on the PS4. The Logitech G923 is a strange proposition. It’s almost identical to the older G29 and doesn’t change the tried and tested formula. Breaking, cornering and various surfaces all feel better than ever on the G923. The pedals receive the least enhancements. A progressive spring and stiffer feeling on the brake pedal allows for some better heel-toe manuevers. Hopefully, Logitech can figure out how to have their pedals match the realism on their wheels without an insane price increase. Regardless, the entire build feels incredibly strong. Both the wheel and pedals are comfortable and ready for hours of continuous driving.Depending on one’s level of play, users will undoubtedly make use of all the wheel’s 900 degree turning radius. However, the best example of the G923 is with Grid (2019). Bridging the gap between sim and arcade like handling, it’s easy for beginners and the hardcore elite to dive in.
The G923 is compatible with the current Logitech standalone shifter, but it doesn’t come with one. Logitech G923 – PerformanceNEW) Set of handles with STP (Soft Touch Paint). Thanks to the soft touch paint, the handles offer a "rubbery" effect, even though they are made of hard plastic. The G923 will also work with the new generation of Xbox, the Xbox Series X.
