What I have noticed though, looking at some of the images of British athletes over previous Games, is that Britain, up until Seoul '88 used to compete in an all white kit with two bands around the chest, one red and one blue.. Those early editions included more than 200 on-the-whistle match reports from leagues up and down the country. Board firmly announced her arrival onto the international scene when, still aged only 18, she won the 400 m race in a Commonwealth v USA match in Los Angeles, California on 9 July 1967.
