I wanted to have the set of books to look at, read, and touch because of whatever that spark of knowledge was that the story of Ms. She had numerous pets, and through holidays in Scotland and the Lake District, developed a love of landscape, flora, and fauna, all of which she closely observed and painted. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published by Frederick Warne in 1902, she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs. The Tale of Pigling Bland - this story of a pig finding a soulmate reflects Beatrix Potter’s own life changes at the time.The Tale of Jemima Puddle Duck - in this twist on Little Red Riding Hood, Jemima Puddle-duck runs away when the farmer’s wife keeps giving her eggs away for the hens to hatch. My favourite tales are The Tailor of Gloucester, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Two Bad Mice and The Tale of Tom Kitten.
