About this deal

Meanwhile, daylight scenes are naturally bright, with bold highlights—almost to the point of being eye-reactive—yet there’s still more detail in the glare as well. The other three sleeves contain the Blu-Ray discs and the fronts feature stylised artwork of Kiriyama (Theatrical Release), Kawada (Director's Cut), and Mitsuko (Additional Extras), along with their weapons of choice. Even after 21 years and numerous inferior imitators (yes, we’re looking at you, Hunger Games), Battle Royale remains a powerful and disturbing piece of
cinema that must be seen to be believed. For its inclusion in this box set, both Requiem (the Original Theatrical Version, which runs 132:49) and the longer Revenge Cut (the Special Edition Director’s Cut, which runs about 19 minutes longer at 151:50) were remastered digitally from the original DI and are available here in 1080p HD on separate Blu-rays ( Requiem on Disc Three and Revenge on Disc Four).

The Special Edition on Disc 2 has a 4k restoration from a duplicate negative according to the blurb in the booklet. It is a great film and on the back of it so many games have created specific Battle Royale modes of play which have become some of the most popular modes in these games.

These are particularly interesting for the way that Kenta offers insights on his father’s personal history, his reaction to the original novel, and his thoughts on the overall subject of violence. This new Blu-ray release is leaps and bounds ahead of the previous Blu-ray release, especially when it comes to its transfer, although given the differences between the physical extras, you might want to hold onto that first Limited Edition release anyway. Try as I might, I couldn’t find a track listing in the booklet or the packaging, but the Internet is your friend if you want to know what is what.

We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. The kids of Third Year Class-B Shiroiwa Junior High School are back, in a brand new UHD restoration of the classic cult shocker adapted from the controversial novel by Koushun Takami. When you know a story and its characters that well, you start seeking the screen for trivialities and background curiosities.everything we’d been taught in school, about how Japan was fighting the war to win world peace, was a pack of lies. Shiori Kitano, daughter of the teacher from the first film has sworn to avenge her father and has enrolled in the Battle Royale programme.

Overseeing the carnage is 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano (Sonatine, Hana-bi, Zatoichi) as the teacher pushed to the edge by his unruly charges. Coming of Age: Battle Royale at 20 lasts 42:25 and is a retrospective featuring notable film journalists. That’s virtually all of the special features that have been produced over the years (save for a few items created by Capelight Pictures’ for recent German BD releases). This March, Anchor Bay Home Entertainment will bring Battle Royale: The Complete Collection to Blu-ray. Both versions of the first film got 4k restorations, and the new release would pack in both versions of the sequel and get new physical extras as well, and the soundtrack CD.
