About this deal

A Nissan Juke has a much more pleasantambience, as does the Skoda Kamiq and VW T-Roc. Interior overview It’s a shame, therefore, that fact doesn’t make this car worthy of recommendation in a broader sense. Opel / Vauxhall Crossland X European sales figures". carsalesbase.com. 2 July 2017 . Retrieved 8 November 2020. The Crossland is built at the Opel factory in Zaragoza, Spain. It is based on a modified version of Groupe PSA's PF1 platform, which is used by the Citroën C3 Picasso and the Peugeot 2008, [5] shared with the Citroën C3 Aircross. The Crossland X received a facelift in 2020 and was renamed to “Opel Crossland”, dropping the "X".

The Crossland's interior looks smart at a glance, but while there are some chrome and glossy details, it's mostly covered in scratchy plastics that feel cheap and, in places, notvery sturdy. The SE is the entry-level trim for the Crossland X. Inside, you'll find Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display for full smartphone functionality. Cruise control takes the strain out of long drives, while automatic wipers and lights support you in rough weather and low-light driving. There are also LED daytime running lights. Upgrading to the SE Nav trim adds a larger 8-inch display, sat nav and voice control. There are better-riding small SUVs. If comfort is a priority, the more cushioned Kamiq andT-Roc are better choices. There are six trims available with the Crossland X: the SE, SE Nav, Trim Line Nav, Elite, Elite Nav and Ultimate. The Crossland X comes with various naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol and diesel options. And the relatively bluff front end has received a Vauxhall grille and headlights to reasonable effect. But Vauxhall thinks the Mokka X is the more premium proposition and, in appearance, we’d agree.

Vauxhall initially offered the Crossland with a variety of trims as well as personalisation options to tune the car to your tastes: SE was followed by SE Nav Premium, SRi Nav, Elite, Elite Nav and the top-of-the-range Ultimate Nav. It was a little confusing though, and thankfully the British brand has since neatened up the range so it now includes just Design, GS and Ultimate specifications on the price list.

The Vauxhall Crossland X is an unexciting and utilitarian option in the increasingly crowded and interesting family SUV section of the market. Designed for versality, value for money and space, it’s the smallest SUV in Vauxhall’s range slotting in beneath the slightly larger (and soon-to-be replaced) Mokka X and the considerably larger (and big-selling) Grandland X. So, should you choose the Vauxhall Crossland over rival small SUVs? For example, you might also be considering the Ford Puma, the Nissan Juke, the Skoda Kamiqor the VW T-Roc.

The Vauxhall Crossland is a spacious, practical and economical family car that now offers loads more style and desirability thanks to a thorough overhaul in 2020. It can't quite match the striking looks of its smaller Mokka sibling, but the practical Crossland has added a smart, sporty edge which will fit in well with modern family life. In the good news section, the heater controls are all physical knobs and buttons that are easier to use than touch-sensitive controls and the analogue instruments are easy to see. After refinement, drivability and economy will likely matter most to those in the market for this sort of car – and both of those are good, although neither is outstanding.

Designed to combine breathability and style, Merrell sandals are perfect for warm-weather explorations. Feel the refreshing breeze against your feet as you explore sandy beaches, go for leisurely walks, or embark on casual outdoor activities. A premium six-speaker audio system (with a sub-woofer) and wireless phone charging are additional options. When you head out into the countryside and along winding lanes, the steering feels accurate and faithful enough for you to guide the Crossland with relative ease. Sadly, though, with less grip and more body lean than some of its lighter-footed rivals, it's not a whole heap of fun. It's also affected by crosswinds on motorways. The updated Crossland, now without the ‘X’, is still built on the same platform as the last-gen Peugeot 2008. So while the Crossland broadly looks and feels like a Vauxhall, those familiar with Peugeots will spot a few common components. The key and infotainment system, for example.Since 2012, more than 120,000 Mokkas have been sold and now Vauxhall just can’t help itself, to the extent that it will put two more relatively compact crossovers on sale this year. On Design and GS trim (with no adjustable boot floor), there's a step in the extended load bay with the seats folded and a bigger lip to heave items over. Practicality overview The Crossland X is about level with the Yeti on practicality and marginally beats it on interior flexibility and value, but it’s an undistinguished addition to the class in other ways.
