The saltwater crocodile is the most dangerous of all crocodiles. It holds the record for the largest crocodile: It can weigh up to a ton, as much as a small car. While most crocodiles live in rivers and lakes, the saltwater crocodile is the only one that can deal with both fresh water and saltwater of the seas. In addition to the saltwater crocodile, there are many other kinds, a total of 25. These include, for example, the Nile crocodile, the armoured crocodile, alligators and caimans. This is an amazing set with so much play potential. You can probably imagine how excited my children were to see it and build it. This is a huge playset with lots of different parts, perfect for hours of imaginative play. It does require some building but we found the instruction booklet was great. I was able to leave my 7 year old to put it together whilst I got on with making dinner!

We all love that it’s a playset which can be arranged in different ways for different games. Also, smaller pieces are easier for storage, and can spread the play across a wider base which is brilliant when you have more than one child playing. We were gifted the Schleich Croco Jungle Research Station in return for coverage, because we adore Schleich toys. All of our opinions are honest.

I never thought that Schleich toys were something that would interest my boys. They’re lifelike, detailed and beautiful creatures but I didn’t think that they would hold much play value, if I’m honest. I mean, a monkey is a monkey and a cow is a cow, you know?

The Croco Cave is also made of something which isn’t brittle and has quite a bit of give to it and so I’ve no fear of puncturing my leg on a giant Croc tooth when I inevitably fall over it in their room. The new Schleich Croco jungle research station is the ideal starting point for all Wild Life adventures. This awesome playset includes a big crocodile skull and integrated secret hiding place, the research centre as well as a viewing platform. Among the many playing functions is that the Croco Sch del has a removable and adjustable upper jaw. It has a secret trap door in the treasure chamber. The Croco Sch del can be connected directly to the research house. There is a clip-on viewing platform for watching the wild jungle animalsSo, the Croco Jungle Research Station is part of the Schleich Wildlife collection, and is themed in the jungle. It’s quite honestly my ideal playset. Crocs, a gorgeous wooden treetop station, and campfire and a cup of tea. I’d live there if I was a mini Schleich person. Childhood is gone in the blink of an eye [except the sleepless nights part, that lasts for decades I think] and I wanted to enjoy every moment I could and make it as fun as possible. Crocodiles are the largest reptiles in the world and the closest living relatives of birds, with whom they share a lineage from the archosaurs. Fast forward a few years and they have had SO much fun with Schleich animals and playsets. For his birthday, Lyoto received a gorgeous brown bear [if you’re a long time reader you know Lyoto is obsessed with bears – #BeTheBear] and he was over the moon when the postman delivered the BIGGEST box ever, containing the Schleich Croco Jungle Research Station. My children kept making up their own little stories involving the ranger and the playset. It is a big playset, and you can add to it with more toys from the Wild Life range. It includes lots of small accessories which make it feel very realistic and we loved the four animals which were included. It is easy to see how any Schleich animal could be added for even more fun!
