About this deal

Maz has contributed to RETURN TO WONDERLAND, THE BOOK OF HOPES and SWALLOWED BY A WHALE and her children’s poetry has been published in Caterpillar magazine. Her career began as a TV journalist, writing for The Daily Telegraphand TV Timesmagazine and she still regularly broadcasts her views on anything from politics to parenthood on BBC Radio 2 and the bus.

Maz Evans writes popular characters from Greek mythology in a way that is recognisable but also modern and hilarious. Zeus isn't exactly the creep we love to hate, but rather a larger than life father figure who has too many ex wife's and an ongoing feud with Hera. Shortlisted for both the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Books Are My Bag Readers' Award. This final instalment follows directly on from events of the previous book, as Elliot has to make a decision that would allow him to retrieve his mother from her current location (no spoilers!!) at the potential expense of mankind. It's very dark indeed for a children's book, Elliot as carer has always been a convincing young man, going through trials that most readers will never have considered. A Piece of Passion from Barry Cunningham, Publisher ‘What I like about the classical gods is that they are so true to life. Wild, naughty, emotional and unpredictable, they carry on a bit like us humans – but with superpowers! Of course, in this story our hero Elliot has some serious real life problems to deal with too, and so Maz Evans takes us on a funny yet thoughtful romp. Hold on to your pants because you are likely to lose everything else!’ They need the King of the Gods and his noble steed. Instead, they get a chubby Zeus and his high horse Pegasus. The first book in the hilarious bestselling WHO LET THE GODS OUT series, shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize!

Elliot's life is spiralling out of control. He's been suspended from school, his ex-convict dad is useless around the house and his mum's health is worsening. What's more, the gods are determined to forge on with the quest for the third chaos stone As a scriptwriter, her original musical H. R. HAITCH (with composer Luke Bateman) was produced at the Union Theatre, London in 2018. She has previously had shows produced at the Actors’ Church Covent Garden, Southend Palace Theatre and Bryanston Arts Centre and she was awarded places in the Holby Cityand CasualtyBBC Shadow schemes. The star is Virgo. She thinks she's perfect. Elliot doesn't. And together they release Thanatos, evil Daemon of Death ... epic fail.

Rekomenduoju. Maloniai praleidau laiką. Pilna nuotykių, veiksmo ir to tokio cinkelio, kurio visada norisi vaikui – pasijausti superherojumi – svarbiu, gabiu, reikalingu ir laimingu. Ir pabaigai, ištrauka i Šventojo Kodekso! Amen. I enjoyed listening to this episode, the others I've read on paper. Maz Evans herself takes on narrator duties and does so very well indeed, with lots of energy and voices for each separate character.
