About this deal

Dulux Weathershield is the retail version of Dulux's masonry paint formulation. It is a rainproof masonry paint that comes with a 15-year guaranteed all-weather protection. While not as advanced as it's trade version, it offers good protection for a smaller budget. We’re so confident in the formulation that we offer you the Weathershield Promise: If your walls peel, flake or there is mould growth within the paint film whilst you live in your home, we will return the value of a replacement product to you. Now that’s worth protecting! In normal conditions two coats of Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint properly applied to the substrate in accordance with the instructions will perform satisfactorily for up to 15 years giving good colour stability (as part of BBA certificate 97/3383). A number of masonry paints can be matched to a specific colour, including designer shades or shades of other paint manufacturers. While the colour will not be an exact match, all paint mixing can vary, even with standard colour paints. This is why paint manufacturers always state to get all of the paint you are using mixed at the same time as colours can always vary. Having said this, excellent equivalent shades can be mixed that can allow to you to get that perfect shade for you.

The main difference between the two paints is the opacity, with Dulux Trade Weathershield comfortably coating an exterior wall in two coats. The colour will also last much longer without fading, as it has higher quality pigments than the retail Dulux Weathershield. This added quality does come at a higher cost. A bright and beautifully painted exterior is something to be proud of. Do you prefer bold, modern shades? Choose from our range of beautiful Dulux Weathershield colours to protect the outside of your home and create the perfect street-facing style. Look out for roller testers in stores We know your home is precious to you, so it’s natural that you want to protect it. With Dulux Weathershield Masonry, you’re not only protecting the outside of your house, you’re taking care of what’s inside it, too. The trade version of Dulux Weathershield is a more advanced formulation that offers the same 15 year protection as the retail version, however in reality the durability is much higher.

Most masonry paint manufacturers have colour charts that their paints come in as standard. Generally, these colour ranges are smaller than interior paint ranges due to the fact that people usually paint their exterior walls in neutral tones, such as white, grey or cream.
