About this deal

In other words, don’t assume that the bigger or smaller models in the range will perform as well as this one. The television delivers stunning and lifelike images with its 4K Ultra HD display and HDR technology.

The Toshiba UF3D is a 50-inch Smart Fire TV that combines the latest in television technology with the convenience of streaming services.

It also has Bluetooth connectivity, which allows users to connect to external speakers or headphones. As technology continues to evolve, there is always the potential for new features and enhancements to be added. Of course, there are some downsides to OLED technology - they're somewhat susceptible to screen burn, with images lingering on the screen if they're left on standby for too long. OLED is a type of panel technology that has been making waves in the television tech community for over a decade, and there's no mystery as to why. MicroLED televisions are still in the early stages of development, but they are expected to become more widely available.

Using a quick VPN to access streaming services allows you to access content shown on other international services. The screen’s lack of brightness inevitably limits the TV’s colour volume range versus more premium LCD TVs, but aside from some occasional clipping (loss of shadow detail) in the very brightest, peak luminance parts of HDR images, the degree of colour saturation always feels in harmony with the available light. Users can also adjust the picture mode to suit the type of content being viewed with methods such as Dynamic, Standard, and Cinema. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode and is a display technology that provides deeper blacks and brighter colors. The Toshiba UF3D has a range of sound settings that can be adjusted to optimize the audio experience. There’s support for Dolby Atmos, the Dolby Vision HDR format, Chromecast is built in and Google Assistant can be accessed via the remote control. The low input lag ensures minimal delay between the controller and the on-screen action, resulting in a more immersive gaming experience. Happily, the 50UK4D63DB does indeed pick right up where its predecessor left off when it comes to serving up much better picture quality than you would reasonably expect of such a cheap 50-inch TV.

QLED TVs have many perks, such as the fact that they have incredible brightness levels and Quantum Dot technology. Dolby Atmos playback enjoys a really large sound stage too, which as well as spreading far to left and right actually seems to have a degree of height to it. Helping its HDR performance out is the way the TV retains better black levels despite its brightness than we customarily find on budget TVs.It’s a real shame, though, that Toshiba has not yet been able to persuade Disney+ or Apple TV to join the 50UK4D63DB’s cause. With the exception of the lowest setting of the Tru Flow mode, though, we struggled to find much advantage in using any of the Tru Picture Engine features. The speakers are located at the bottom of the television, which ensures that the sound is directed toward the viewer.
