I have to say the reclining seat really makes this trike, I was dubious to see whether a child really could ‘nap’ on the bike, but when my daughter got tired on a long walk I reclined the seat and sure enough she drifted off and the shoulder straps helped keep her in place without slouching. I would recommend this trike to friends and family just on this feature alone! The parent tray however I was really disappointed in and not really sure what the point of it is – on the face of it, it looks like a brilliant feature handy to put a drink or a phone but the problem happens when you want to actually use the trike as soon as you turn to steer everything in the tray falls out.
SmarTrike has matured somewhat in the four years since we last took one out for a spin – with the SmarTrike 5-in-1 Infinity including new features such as a compressible sun canopy and the amazing recliner option- I couldn’t wait to take her out for a spin! I could take my grandson to the park and after to visit his great granny.It is to far for him to walk and his granny so loves to see him and she could also take him on a small walk Assembly – consider opting for a trike that requires little to no assembly so your child can get riding straight away. And for trikes that can be adapted as your child grows look at whether you need specific tools to make adjustments or if they’re easy to do on-the-go. While the sun visor is highly recommendable, especially for younger babies and in the summer, I had to take it off as I don’t like not being able to see Ameli, and more importantly, she squirms around and pulls at it because she can’t see me.

Overall we absolutely LOVE the SmarTrike 5-in-1 Infinity, and I am looking forward to transitioning the trike to the other stages as Neve grows in size and confidence. The only real con of the SmarTrike 5-in-1 Infinity has to be storing it, as it is obviously rather on the large side. We don’t have a porch, so have to pop ours into the shed at night,but I would rather not leave it outside as it could get wet / sun damaged. That said, the handlebar does slot down to a smaller size and as such, I was able to easily pop into the boot when required. Sleek, stylish and touchably chunky, this Smoby trike is a thing of beauty that you won’t resent having in a corner of your home and will be happy to be seen pushing. The ergonomic seat and wide handles make it a super-comfy ride, and the silent wheels mean no irritating squeaks as you do laps of the park.
