About this deal

Tested in an outdoor open environment without interference. The video transmission bitrate varies with operating environments. Another useful feature is that the Avata has 20GB of internal storage, so forgetting to bring storage isn’t a catastrophe. You can set this space to be used even if you do insert a microSD card to provide some resilience against a card error ruining your best shot. This carrying case is specially designed for the DJI Avata Pro-View Combo, the DJI FPV Remote Controller, and other accessories.

One issue that the DJI FPV suffered from was that, in certain maneuvers, it was possible to see the blade tips in your videos. On the Avata, this is still an issue, but only when the wide-angle modes are being used and the camera is pointing downwards. Critically, the transmission bandwidth is still up to 50Mbps, so it’s a balance between resolution and framerate, with the new Goggles 2 going for resolution over frames-per-second. Enjoy a totally immersive, user-friendly flight experience with stunningly immersive HD resolution and intuitive flight control. Are you looking for a strong, water-resistant hard-carrying case for your DJI Avata? Don’t look further than the STARTRC Avata Case! This hard case is made specifically for DJI Avata accessories. It can hold DJI Avata Drone, FPV Remote controller, FPV Motion Controller, Goggles, 2 FPV Goggles V2, 3x Batteries, Charger, Charging Hub, and more.

Controls

The control software for the Avata is not anything new: it’s just the typical DJI Fly app. However, the new DJI Goggles 2 has a really intuitive user interface and experience. The max flight speed is subject to dynamic local restrictions. Please abide by local laws and regulations when flying. If you’ve been in the market for a simple-to-operate drone with solid construction or if you are brand new to drones and want something you can fly around without any worries, then the Avata is basically perfect for you.

Tested in an outdoor open environment without interference. The video transmission latency data varies with different models. If we compare these numbers to the DJI Mavic 3, the Avata is a little faster, but not by a dramatic amount. The takeaway from these numbers is that the Avata is built more for fun and cinematography, rather than chasing racing cars or birds of prey. The screen refresh rate changes with the video transmission frame rate. It may switch between 100 Hz and 60 Hz to adapt to the current video transmission frame rate. If you travel with your drone, it could be damaged during transportation. A drone case can protect your drone from transportation damage.

DJI Avata only supports downward obstacle sensing when used with DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 or DJI Motion Controller in N Mode or S Mode. FCC compliant and tested in an outdoor open environment without interference. Data is tested under different standards in an outdoor open environment without interference. Only to serve as a reference for the max one-way communication distance without considering RTH. Please pay attention to the RTH prompts during actual flight. Max one-way communication distance of DJI Avata in countries/regions of different standards:

While we can’t confirm this currently, we’ve been told that the blade guard and main frame of the drone will be purchasable as replacements from DJI, allowing owners to replace them if they have an unfortunate accident. That’s a big difference if you are interested in flying fast, though not necessarily a bad thing if you’re learning FPV flying.

Confined Space Inspection

Does it have a great camera? Yes. Does it fly fast in Sport and manual mode? Sure, fast enough for most. Speaking of that, it’s worth noting that the DJI FPV maxes out at a blistering 87 miles per hour (MPH), while the Avata caps out at 60 MPH. The DJI Avata is a better considered and more sedate entry to the world of FPV flying than its predecessor, but it falls into a space between camera drones and FPV hardware that might not satisfy either objective as effectively as more dedicated solutions.

This is a little clunky and the Motion Controller isn’t suitable for flying through a building or tight spaces. It’s fun in big open spaces where the Avata can achieve a distinct aircraft style of flying, but it’s awkward if you are in restricted airspace. The inclusion of blade rings is also a significant advantage if the drone ever hits living things, even though the 410g Avata is much lighter than the 795g DJI FPV. If FPV flyers want the highest quality video, they usually strap an action camera to their machines, making them even more challenging to fly. The point is durable ABS plastic and features a foam interior with cutouts for the drone, remote, batteries, and other accessories. The case has a carrying handle and an adjustable shoulder strap for easy transport.

A Clear View

DJI Goggles Integra and DJI Goggles 2 are similar in size, video transmission performance, and screen display. To control the limited interface, the Goggles 2 has a touchpad on the right-hand side that can be used to make adjustments to the controls, capture quality and other settings.
