A divot can now be created at the top of the failed or threaded screw using the included reverse drills. The divot should be no more than 1mm. The drill is set to 1,200 – 1,300 in the reverse setting to create the divot in the screw fragment. With the correct guide selected from a Straumann® screw retrieval kit, attach the guide to the included guide handle and engage the connection with the implant. The handle should be gripped firmly throughout the procedure. With the drill set to 50 – 80 RPM in the reverse setting, the tap drill attachment can now be used to remove the damaged screw.
