About this deal

There are definitely elements of The Beefer that don’t entirely make sense, but it gets under your skin, becoming an essential piece of barbecue equipment. In fact, it replaced the barbecue on more than one occasion. Once you’ve tasted the beautifully moist, flavoursome results, you’ll wonder why you ever doubted the need for The Beefer. Taco Bell got into dessert with Cinnamon Crispas, a forerunner to the classic Cinnamon Twists. Again, Taco Bell cleverly repurposed common ingredients, sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on its chips. Nachos, taco salads, and the oversized Taco Bell Grande were all introduced in the 1980s, as well. Given the high temperatures and the fact that all of the trays and tools are metal, we recommend wearing some heat-proof gloves when cooking, just in case. The Beefer: Is It Any Good? For many Taco Bell fans, the 1980s and 1990s represent the apex of Taco Bell's history. Innovation was key as the menu ballooned to include all manner of nontraditionalcreations. The beloved Enchirito was introduced in this period, which made clever use of ingredients Taco Bell franchises already had on hand. The Enchirito was nothing more than a wet beef burrito, but the novelty of a gooey burrito you had to eat with a fork and knife was enough to make it a big hit. Manufactured completely from stainless steel and equipped with electrical spark ignition and an outlet protection plate.

Heat matters. Restaurant-quality meat is cooked hot so that the steak caramelizes, holding in heat and giving you a crispy crush and luscious interior. When the juices drip into the so-called gastro tray and can be used to prepare delicious sauces, gravies, or broths. Because the grill gets so hot, so fast, your food is cooked in the time it takes you to grab a plate. I love to grill and have a good barbecue set up in the garden. Giving up some of the metal worktops over to The Beefer was a big step for me, and the limitations of its two-at-a-time performance frustrated me initially. A confusion of snitch and snilch,” according to Partridge, this American term meant “to inform to the police.” It first popped up in 1859 and was obsolete by 1920. 32. TelegramTaco Bell launched in 1962, the brainchild of entrepreneur GlenBell. His first location, in Downey, CA, was inspired by (or some might say was a completerip-offof) popular Mexican taco stands around Southern California. Bell had tried numerous other fast-food concepts in his quest for financial success: four hamburger stands and two taquerias. All failed to catch on, but Taco Bell would be his crowning achievement thanks to one special menu item: the hard-shell taco.

The social aspect of grilling may not be fully embraced by The Beefer either (unless there’s just the two of you eating), but the unit itself became a talking point, somewhat reducing that impact. The Beefer is essentially a compact grill, which is light and portable enough for you to move around your garden or even take on a camping trip. But it’s not like any grill you’ve ever used before. It’s fuelled by the same gas you would connect to your regular gas barbecue, but the ceramic-plated grill can achieve temperatures of up to 800 °C. Our Beefer XL Chef is certified according to DIN EN203 for large kitchens. It can be operated on the indoor with propane / butane. The higher cooking heat means that, with a bit of practice, you can create a perfectly cooked steak with a caramelised, crispy crust, enveloping the tender flesh within, in just a few minutes. The qualities demanded by professionals: space-saving, maximum ease of use and – most importantly – statutory approval for commercial use outdoors. And then the meat came out perfectly grilled — every single time. Beautifully seared and caramelised, yet delicate and tender inside, the Beefer produced some of the best-prepared meat I’ve ever had at home. The company promises restaurant quality, and there’s no way you can argue with that claim. By the 1990s, Taco Bell began experimenting with the popular fast-food trend of value pricing, in which a special subsection of the menu is carved out for lower-cost, smaller items to ideally be bought in large quantities by customers. Taco Bell not only had its popular 99-cent value menu, but also ran more extreme promotions, such as 45-cent tacos,to drive consumer demand. Very briefly, Taco Bell tried a truly incongruous item: aseafood salad. Thistaco salad featured shrimp, whitefish, and snow crab-an option for observant Catholics who chose not to eat meat during Lent. Taco Bell also came up with Mexican Pizza, which was neither particularly Mexicannor a pizza. In essence, it's two tostadas on top of each other. That simplicity of concept has kept the Mexican Pizza on the menu for decades. Instead of the classic button height adjustment, the new professional Beefer features millimetre-precise shelving that enables the grate to be positioned to the perfect height with a single hand movement. This space-saving function in particular was requested by professional chefs.

This is where it gets weird. It took us a little time to really understand The Beefer and who it would appeal to. Spending a couple of weeks with it during a period of good weather highlighted its virtues, A 1905 term for someone who became an informer and gave information to the police. By the 1930s, c oming copper referred to the actual giving of information. 12. and 13. Come it and Come it as Strong as a Horse Vegetarians, don’t fret. The Beefer also uniformly cooks fish and veggies, because it uses an infrared technology and different heat zones so everything comes out evenly done. Because you’d never expose a delicate cut of fluke to the same pounding heat as you would a New York strip. Hamburgers are sold at fast-food restaurants, diners, and specialty high-end restaurants (where burgers may sell for several times the cost of a fast-food burger, but may be one of the cheaper options on the menu). There are MANY international and regional variations of the hamburger. The Bellburger is a prime example of that! A punny reference (of American origin) to Chrysler cars that meant “a squealer; a traitor; a coward,” according to Leverage’s “Dictionary of the Underworld.” 11. Come CopperAn Australian term, circa 1910, for a habitual informer to the police. “A man that drops information; also, he causes men to 'drop' or 'fall' (be arrested),” noted Sidney J. Baker in 1945’s The Australian Language. 16. Finger Louse Beefer® works exclusively with top heat and achieves temperatures of approx. 800°C that are previously unknown for conventional grills on the market. This is made possible by a ceramic high-performance gas burner. Besides the short cooking time that enables the exact degree of cooking to be set, a particular advantage of the Beefer® is how the top heat causes meat juices to drip below. The juices are then caught in the gastro tray and can be used to prepare delicious sauces…. A single handle allows the instant removal of both grate holders – no tools required. This also means the entire interior is extremely easy to clean. A huge advantage in the professional sector! There are two very obvious questions that spring to mind. Firstly, what is The Beefer, and secondly, why would anyone need one? The Beefer: What Is It? A noun from around 1915 that meant “the giving of information to police, especially by one criminal against another.” Partridge noted that by 1920, scream as a verb began to mean the same as to squeal. From 1915’s The Melody of Death: “‘I don’t want to hear any more about your conscience,’ said the [police] officer wearily. ‘Do you scream or don’t you?’” By 1925, the term had hopped across the pond from England to the United States. 30.
