The overall image would be slightly better than standard HD, absolutely. For The X-Files, it was a little too early to consider 4K. It would have been a massive amount of data wrangling if Fox had wanted it in 4K, a huge undertaking. We recently remastered the television series Freaks and Geeks in 4K for Paramount and Shout Factory. We did the same process where they shot in 4x3, and we created a 16x9 version and it looks really great. material on hand here as a whole, this release offers generally excellent video quality which features very good to excellent sharpness The bulk of this release looks excellent, though as several online sources featuring interviews with those involved in the restoration have like the Challenger explosion or 9/11, the latter also being a defining moment and memory for older millennials. Deleted Scene with Optional Commentary by Frank Spotnitz and John Shiban: (SD 1:14) It's such a short scene it's hard to get a sense of both men's thoughts. The X-Files is notable from any number of perspectives, but one way the show managed to defy expectations was in its wise This first season has a couple of clunky episodes in there, but that's to be expected with any series. It's a show that is still finding its legs, but through it all the show delivered hours of great entertainment. One Son' Audio Commentary: Frank Spotnitz provides the commentary for this episode, it's nice to hear his thoughts since he hasn't done too many of these. Well, that’s the real question, now isn’t it? By the end of nine seasons of television, two feature films, and a limited run of episodes airing next January, I doubt if even Mulder and Scully themselves can adequately answer that deceptively simple question. The X-Files is the ultimate revolving door series. Full of intricate, intertwining mythological threads and stand-alone episodes that ultimately tied in just enough to be necessary, the series kept audiences glued to their seats each week with tales of alien abductions, government conspiracies, super soldiers, cloning experiments, colonization, and a slew of other “freak-of-the-week” entries that took our FBI agents through all manner of improbably macabre investigations. The stories the show asked its loyal followers to follow were as tantalizingly intriguing as they were frequently confusing and convoluted. Asking “what’s it about”? of a show like The X-Files is about as useful as asking “why”? of the universe. The answers are at once obvious and elusive; self-evident and inherently unattainable. The profundity and provocativeness of both questions aren’t perhaps found so much in their answers as they are in their being asked in the first place.

While the "monster-of-the-week" episodes were still the highlights of the show, this is the season where it felt like the mythology episodes started to carry a lot more weight and importance. to "jump the shark" (a cheekily titled episode is actually called this late in the show's run), its unsettlingly paranoiac stance was a rare thing The Jersey Devil' International Clips: (SD) A collection of different scenes in German, Japanese, and Spanish.Files tried to toe a sometimes precarious line between "monster of the week" standalone episodes and an increasingly dense (and at of rather convoluted goings on.
