The “accident book”: it sounds very ominous, doesn’t it? The workplace accident book actually serves a very important purpose so it’s essential for employers to know how to use it effectively. The Accident Book is designed to support users in being GDPR compliant. Both the 2012 and 2018 versions provide an approved format for recording accident information. This information must then be stored in compliance with GDPR principles. It’s best to fill the accident book out when the events of the accident are still fresh in the minds of those involved. This way, important details won’t be left out.The Accident Book is an essential document for employers and employees, who are required by law to record and report details of specified work-related injuries and incidents.
