Third book in a row I've read with a massively silly storyline, relying heavily on the stupidity of it's characters with easy to see 'twists'. contemporary, and we are proud of the quality that our experienced chef team produce on a daily basis.
For lovers of: The cottagecore aesthetic, living in alignment with nature, YouTubers-turned-authors, books that feel like a warm hug, and a sweet dog named Aegir.I have not seen her YouTube channel, but the author comes across as a very young, self-centered individual who has confused surface and depth.
She no doubt made it a perfect afternoon in nature book, or a pick-me-up in winter as it is for me right now.Though on the one hand, I live in a high-stress area, and being in a less busy area does have a calming effect on me, so I don't think her move had no effect. For anyone looking for some peace, soft advice, if you're a cottagecore lover, or just interested, you will love this book. Paola Merrill gently guided me through the seasons, combining aspects of mindfulness, storytelling, photography, poetry, and recipes into a book that makes sense! Yes, I know it was done to increase tension and creepiness but after the 12th time the dog barked at a random noise or a creepy knock appeared at the door I was a bit like.
