The eMMC drive looks very pathetic in these synthetic storage benchmarks, managing just 268 MB/s of read performance and 189 MB/s of write performance with a single thread. The random IOPS with a single thread also falls well behind the other SSDs. Each test is performed on a newly formatted and TRIM’d drive so the results are optimal. Over time, as a drive fills up, performance will decrease due to less NAND for caching and other factors.
