The facility maintained by Kendamil does not use animal rennet in the processing or sourcing of Organic Lactose, Organic Whey, and our Organic GOS, which allows Kendamil Classic, Kendamil Organic, and Kendamil Goat products to be Halal certified. Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) To derive an estimate of how much nutritional content a baby would receive each day when using Kendamil organic Stage 1, we used the average recommended serving for the first 6 months (about 110 grams of formula per day). This will overestimate nutrients in early months, and underestimate them for later months. Given that the Stage 1 Kendamil formula is intended for use from birth to 6 months, we evaluated its nutritional content against the USDA 0-6 month recommendations. For the Stage 2 and 3 versions, we evaluated against the USDA 6-12 month recommendations. Nutritionally solid to fill the gaps of a newly formed solid food diet. Ferrous Sulphate is the most commonly used source of iron in infant formula globally and is also in our Goat Formula. It is also worth noting that this is a very small change as the iron in our recipe only makes up approx. 0.01% of our formula. As a result, it would be very unlikely that your baby will notice the change.

Kendamil Stage 1 is for birth to 6 months. You can use this formula to replace breastmilk or use alongside it as a supplement. Kendamil stage 1 is based on the same whey to casein ratio as breast milk which is 60% whey and 40% casein. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop. For example, to get 145g/day of Stage 3 formula, that would take about 31 scoops of the product, and over 1000mL of prepared formula per day (about 5 servings). That's pretty excessive! More reasonably, your child will be consuming about 2-3 servings of Stage 3, along with a couple of servings of cereals and purees. Plant-based DHA Omega 3: Docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA, is commonly sourced from fish. While some parents don't mind this, some prefer a vegetarian option, and some with very sensitive noses don't appreciate smelling a hint of fish oil in their baby formula. Kendamil uses a plant-based DHA, sourced from algae (this is how fish get DHA into their bodies too because algae are in their food chain). Kendamil Stages: Ingredient DifferencesAll formulas are made with 100% organic cow’s milk and blended with a variety of vitamins and minerals for optimal nutrition. Kendamil is high in vitamins iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D. Additionally, DHA is added to support muscle, eye, and brain growth. Both toddlers we tested are already eating a ton of finger foods and purees, so there's no real need for formula, but the parents kept the Stage 2 and 3 tins and will use the rest since their toddlers seem to enjoy the flavor, and it's filling. This is not added by the manufacturer, but appears in trace amounts (e.g., <0.015mg per 100mL prepared formula) due to the water used during manufacturing. For Kendamil, this only occurs in Stage 2. In looking at the USDA recommendations for infants 6-12 months of age, you realize that they recommend about 140-150g/day of formula. That equates to about 32 scoops (4.6g/scoop) per day, which is about 960mL per day of the prepared Stage 2 formula. Clearly, that's a ton of formula and unlikely to be the case with your 6-12 month-old baby, since you'll likely be supplementing formula with at least some oatmeal and/or rice cereal. The benefits of Kendamil baby formula are highlighted by the ingredients that are not included. GMOs, soy products, lutein, lycopene, L-methionine, added sugars, and synthetic ingredients would never be included, allowing clean nutrition to shine.
