The Three sounds much better if we provide it with a Wi-Fi signal, so it’s worth taking a moment to configure the network connection. The sound diameter is warm and pleasant to listen to. Human voices sound very coherent and natural, and the high detail and outstanding separation only reinforce positive feelings. Of course, a good stereo system will offer us a higher sound culture and stage experience, although it is hard to objectively compare the sound classes of such different audio systems. High tones are slightly brightened and abundant. Klipsch does not withdraw anything, it does not hide or mask anything. It provides everything that we should hear in the upper registers. In addition to the active 5.25” long-throw woofer, The Three also features dual opposed 5.25” passive radiators to deliver enhanced bass reflex.

The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user Klipsch The Three II Complex orchestral material – for example Dvorak’s In Nature’s Realm, as played during a Radio 3 evening concert – was given a tonally-credible presentation too. But there’s a caveat – the orchestra sounded as if it had been crammed into a small room, simply because the stereo image is so narrow from a box that’s 35cm wide. Where the Klipsch differs from many rivals is the features and inputs it is supplied with. Klipsch makes a voice assistant speaker in the form of the visually very similar The Three Google Assistant (no prizes for guessing which of the voice control protocols it supports) but the Three II does without any form of network capability at all. This means there is no UPnP, AirPlay or Chromecast but, equally, you do get some inputs that I’ve been bemoaning the absence of on other products recently. Before we discuss those, you do of course get Bluetooth. In this case, it’s a v4.0 implementation with aptX but no AAC as best I can discern. The Klipsch The Three II has an overall score that puts it among the better home speakers we’ve tested, especially in our Advanced category. The device scored well in timbre and dynamics, and had decent scores for the spatial and volume attributes. In artifacts, its score was below average.

Test summary

The Three II is a stereo tabletop system featuring two 2.25” full-range drivers and a 5.25” long-throw woofer, bi-amplified for audio resolution and professionally tuned by Klipsch acousticians to deliver a premium audio experience. The only, and very slight, "complaint" we have about the sound is a slight boominess coming from the lower-mid-range, that only really presents itself while listening to podcasts or talk shows. Deep voices are accentuated with a low rumble - most likely thanks to the passive radiators, which we'll talk more about below. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however, and certainly not unpleasant to listen to. The extra boost means you can hear the words loud and clear from across the room. If you want to avoid the boominess, we suggest keeping your sound at a moderate volume, and avoid placing it in a corner where the bass might get trapped. Despite this, The Three is one of the more balanced wireless speakers we've come across, and we'd recommend it for all your at-home listening needs. Klipsch have continued to release products from what we like to call the ‘The’ line. We already have The One, The Three, and The Sixes, and the latest release is The Fives. Although these are not available at retail at the time of writing, they look intriguing: a pair of do-it-all bookshelf speakers that are fully wireless. What’s especially interesting about these is that they have an HDMI ARC input, meaning they can be used with your TV as well as in a traditional hi-fi setup. Klipsch want them to replace the soundbar in your living room. We haven’t had a chance to test these yet, but if you are looking for a set of wireless speakers that are a little more fully featured than The Three, it may be worth waiting for The Fives. Also, we have no idea what will happen when Klipsch start releasing the second and third generation of this line of products. You could have a situation where there are product names like The Fives Two, or The One Three. The mind boggles.

Klipsch has made some truly breathtaking pieces of equipment, and The Three from their Heritage Wireless series is no exception. Regardless of Klipsch's strange naming schemes, we have to give them credit for creating such a gorgeous little speaker. And while we'll talk about the aesthetics in the design section below, we want to make it clear that The Three sounds better than most speakers we've encountered. With a Bluetooth connection, the sound can be exaggerated, and unpleasantly sharpened, but with Wi-Fi, this problem does not occur. As a single loudspeaker, it does not create an equally wide soundstage as two loudspeakers do – it is probably obvious. Such beauty in such solutions. The matter of selectivity of sounds is completely different, which is fantastic. Even elaborate musical arrangements using a multitude of instruments sound very clear and selective on Klipsch. All this means that you can successfully listen to large ensembles, such as a symphony orchestra, on this device. Klipsch The Three II Video Review Retested the speaker's Bluetooth range. In our initial results, we accidentally switched the measurement in feet with the measurement in meters. The Bluetooth score improves from 6.4 to 9.0. Tương tự như các model trước đó, Klipsch The Three II được trang bị kết nối Bluetooth 4.0 nên bạn có thể sử dụng các nguồn nhạc đa dạng thông qua smartphone, tablet, laptop,…Klipsch's The Three sounds fantastic, and while it isn't cheap, it certainly performs to our expectations for this price range. Its retro design is matched with a thoroughly modern, multi-room-capable wireless streaming app that's easy to use. Throw in RCA connections for turntables and stereo gear, and you have a versatile, excellent-sounding system. Most speakers we encounter that try to do this much end up being a pain to operate, but nothing about The Three's operation is annoying, and its audio performance is impressive.

This speaker features a built-in amplifier, delivering 60 watts of power, which allows for clear and powerful audio reproduction. The advanced acoustics technology ensures a balanced sound performance, with well-defined mids and crisp highs. The Klipsch is a single chassis powered speaker. The cabinet is a sealed box design and makes use of a pair of 2.25-inch ‘full range’ drivers that are augmented by a single 5.25-inch sub with another pair of 5.25-inch passive radiators acting to augment the performance. They must be doing something right because not only does Klipsch claim a low end frequency response of no less than 45Hz - and this is at a claimed +/ 3dB (i.e. the more rigorous of the two measurement settings generally allowed for this) - which suggests that there shouldn’t be any shortage of low end shove. Power is given as 60 watts continuous at fairly acceptable distortion levels. The tuning of the device is not ideal for TV viewing. Voices aren’t well-rendered and high-mids can be harsh. Incorporating luxury materials such as real wood veneer and tactile spun copper switches and knobs, the Klipsch Heritage Wireless series of powered audio systems blends the acoustics and classic design legacy of Paul W. Klipsch with the latest technologies available today. The Three II includes audio input connections for Turntables (MM phono stage), Computers (USB Type B), other analogue devices and wireless Bluetooth ®devices. So go ahead, connect whatever's in your home and enjoy superior stereo sound from a beautifully crafted tabletop stereo system. In addition to the active 5.25” long-throw woofer, The Three also features dual opposed 5.25” passive radiators to deliver enhanced bass reflex for a bigger audio experience. The Klipsch The Three II is a self-contained powered speaker that is the larger of two new models that bolster the lifestyle credentials of the Klipsch brand. Even a cursory look at the design of the Three II should be enough to demonstrate that Klipsch has taken a slightly different approach to building a product of this nature than - for example - Harman Kardon has with their recently released Citation 500. Speech from, say, Radio 4 announcers as heard via the CXN, ha d good presence, although traces of chestiness were apparent at times. Treble was crisp and clean, if the unit’s reproduction of 808 State’s percussion and the brass instruments of the Ohio Players’ Bluetooth 4.2 ส่วนของการเชื่อมต่อแบบมีสายนั้นก็รองรับทั้ง AUX/3.5 mm., Phono (Pre-Amplified), RCA Stereo Klipsch The Three II

One thing that isn’t present in the Three II, which makes it fairly unusual as a Klipsch product, is any form of horn loading. This isn’t too much of a surprise in that fitting a horn loaded assembly to a cabinet this size is going to eat a great deal of the relatively limited amount of space available and given that there are no dedicated tweeters in there, the horn would have to adopt full range characteristics. Again, this isn’t impossible since the resulting product would be a great deal larger and more complex than the speaker actually is. Retested the speaker for a power-saving feature. Changed the 'Power Saving' test result from 'N/A' to 'No' in the Battery box. Speakers: Two 2 1/4” (57.15mm) full range drivers, one 5.25” (133.4mm) long-throw woofer, and two 5.25” (133.4mm) dual opposed passive radiators USB Type B– Ability to connect a computer and use Klipsch as a computer speaker. The built-in D/A converter supports files with a density of up to 24bit/192kHz, it can handle the vast majority of our archive. The Three II is remarkably easy to use. On the top panel are a wonderfully old-school paddle-switch to wake it up or shut it down, and knobs to adjust volume and cycle through sources. The currently- selected source is confirmed with a subtly-illuminated white LED.With award-winning acoustics and a striking mid-century modern design, the Klipsch Heritage Wireless Three II tabletop stereo speaker system can connect to almost anything, meaning you can bring your music to life from virtually any source - anywhere in your home. The Three II is fairly volume dependent in a variety of ways. At nominal volumes, the Klipsch device is a solid performer with a pleasingly rich low end and an accurate and clear high-end, and it’s also very strong on dynamics. But the qualities of its timbre and dynamics shift as the volume goes up or down. At high volume, it especially suffers; this isn’t a speaker for loud house parties, and it’s not ideal for fans of electronic music or hip-hop. This is also where the device produces some unfortunate artifacts. Sub-scores explained The Klipsch The Three II is a speaker that offers impressive sound quality and a sleek design. With its compact size, it is suitable for various spaces, such as living rooms, bedrooms, or offices. As for the soundstage, The Three impressed us on the width and depth of its sound - especially given its size. Despite the fact that this isn't a 360 degree speaker, like the Solis SO-7000 ( full review here), we could have been fooled into believing it was, given how impressed we were with its powers and abilities to create such a wide field, and demonstrate power usually seen in much larger speakers. Whether you're standing directly in front of The Three or off to the side, you'll get a balanced sound that beats out most speakers in this price range. With its built-in Google Assistant and voice control capabilities, the Klipsch The Three II offers convenient hands-free operation. Users can easily control their music and other smart devices using voice commands.
