animation is awful, it moves worse than most PS2 cut-scenes, which I'm talking 8 years prior this film. The sound design is good in some parts and weird in most of the film, but sound design in horror is a very subjective thing as it creates ambient noise and other moods for the audience, but the dialog is horrible. The art in Toshi Densetsu is amazing! The art style is great and the actual color pallet chosen greatly reflects the story as well. The only thing that brought down the score from a 10 is the animation. By no means am I calling the animation bad infact it is amazing! It is very fluid and defiantly has had a lot of time put into it! Episode 4 is the only exception to this. While episode 4's animation is still very fluid it re-uses animation to the point where it becomes jarring to look at, which is why the score has dropped from a 10 to a 9. The visuals of Hikiko Toshi Densetsu Monogatari are atmospheric and hauntingly beautiful. The animation studio has done an exceptional job in creating a gloomy and eerie atmosphere that perfectly complements the series' dark tone.
