About this deal

I came into writing from kind of a strange angle. When I graduated from college in the late eighties, I had the same dream as everyone else at the time—a corporate job, a nice car, and a house with lots of square footage. Kyle Mills continues year after year to prove that he was the perfect choice to continue the Mitch Rapp series after the death of the great Vince Flynn. First, I am very grateful that Kyle Mills has continued the Vince Flynn legacy. It is Vince's first novels (along with Clancy) that drew me into the genre enough that it prompted myself to start writing. Mitch Rapp could not have been left in better hands as the stories continue. Mitch Rapp has settled into a happy life with Claudia and her seven-year-old daughter Anna. His moments with Anna are some of the cutest and happiest in the book. Through the diversion of maintaining power and privilege, ISIS take advantage of the situation and kidnap a brilliant French microbiologist; coercing him to begin manufacturing anthrax.

But he’s a regional threat,” Cook interrupted, once again displaying his grasp of international issues. “And he’s only a Muslim when it’s convenient to him. He uses Christianity, animism, and anything else he can come up with just as easily. The truth is that he’s a messianic cult leader who’s never going to stir up any trouble outside of Uganda and the DRC.” Writing is OK yet sometimes really bad. Story line is OK yet unfinished, ending leaves you hanging like WTF just happened? Where is the real ending to the story! I guess they are motivated to sell you the next book and do not care if you are satisfied with this one. Also the ending involves about 15 min of rambling verbosity from a character who thinks (out of character from previous books) that they know the world better than most, thus giving him the right to assassinate Mitch, the world's 1st trillionaire and the world's leading pandemic doctor.

Why don’t you give us the rundown on what you know,” the president said, reasserting his dominance by pointing everyone to a seat and then taking one himself. The Cooks see democracy as interfering in their autocratic lifestyle. Irene Kennedy’s biggest problem and worry, is her Agency being manipulated for the power it holds. Mitch refuses to pledge loyalty to Cook. Irene Kennedy shares Rapp’s viewpoint that politicians are not trustworthy.

U.S. President cares more for his bank acct than his country and willing to commit treason to enhance his wealth.Having been stymied by the Marine Corps, Flynn returned to the nine-to-five grind and took a job with United Properties, a commercial real estate company in the Twin Cities. During his spare time he worked on an idea he had for a book. After two years with United Properties he decided to take a big gamble. He quit his job, moved to Colorado, and began working full time on what would eventually become Term Limits. Not at all. I’m just thinking out loud. In any event, I’m anxious to be introduced. If nothing else, it’ll be interesting to look into the eyes of a man like him.”

Rapp, completely cut off from the agency, must uncover the identity of the mole and deal with him. But the situation is deeper and more complex than he ever could have imagined, involving the President of the United States himself.I was a little nervous as I got into this book, the first part of the book was a little slow. I was afraid that Kyle Mills had lost his touch with delivering a top notch novel within the series. The rest of the book made up for the slow start. It was an easy five star book and One of the best books I have read this year. I will say I considered giving the book 4 stars rather than 5 because it gets the Saudi-US energy situation (one of the key motivations) so wrong. The US does not, and has not for years, depended on Saudi oil--we produce most of our own. US oil imports come primarily from Canada, not SA. Obviously, he has the potential to be a powerful tool. And he’s a simpler creature than Kennedy. He wears his motivations on his sleeve—love of country, loyalty to his comrades. He still sees America as a shining tower on a hill. Those kinds of delusions are easily manipulated.”
